Stoyanov makes appearances in the 2008-09 season performing the Schwantner Percussion Concerto with the Imperial Symphony (Florida) and Midland Symphony (Michigan). He has also performed this work with timpanist Jonathan Haas and the following orchestras: the Chicago Symphony led by James Conlon at the Ravinia Festival; the American Symphony Orchestra and Leon Botstein at Avery Fisher Hall (Lincoln Center debut); the Seattle Symphony with music director Gerard Schwarz; and the New York Pops with Skitch Henderson at Carnegie Hall. Recent percussion recitals include three concerts at the Orange County Performing Arts Center as part of the Informally Yours Series, appearances in New York, Connecticut, Iowa, the Brooklyn Public Library, as well as collaborative performances with members of the Brooklyn Philharmonic at the Brooklyn Museum and DROM in New York City. Stoyanov was engaged for a week-long educational residency and concerto performance with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, where his performance of the Schwantner Concerto was hailed as “spectacular” (The Capital).
