Mediaeval Baebes Worldes Blysse CD (2007)
Volta classical music CD In the 1990s, the Mediaeval Baebes' updating of traditional medieval music combined an audacious sense of style with adventurous musical choices and strong arrangements. "Love Me Broughte," for example, finds the ladies dying for love in the most exquisitely beautiful way. And Ozzy Osbourne could learn much from the opening song, the Middle English "Kinderly," which describes in graphic, harmoniously blissful detail the passing of a love-lorn soul.
CMJ (10/18/99, p.24) - "...makes seriously bewitching music....the Baebes' voices unite into some alien siren song....otherworldly..."
