To redeem a CD Universe gift certificate, enter the gift certificate code in the Gift Certificate box during the finalize order process. We recommend that you copy and paste the code to avoid any errors.
- If the total of your order is more than your gift certificate amount, you will be asked for another form of payment or another gift certificate to complete the order.
- If the total of your order is less than your gift certificate amount, the unused amount will remain as a balance on your gift certificate and can be used again.
- Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.
- Gift certificates cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Gift certificates typically do not expire. Expired gift certificates may be renewed/extended by placing a request through our customer service department. Please include your name, address, and email address as well as the gift certificate number in all requests. Send requests to order@cduniverse.com.

CD Universe sometimes gives an online user a special offer. In order to receive the offer, there is a code given that has to be entered into the Gift Certificate box at the time of checkout. If you do not have a code, please disregard the box; your order will process normally. Please note your order will not display the offer immediately. After you finalize your order, you can check in "Your Account" to confirm the offer has been applied. Only one special offer code can be applied per order.
