Better than ALIVE! Yes, it's true. This is the best live album ever recorded. The sound is clear, heavy and modern. Kiss' '70's studio albums were poorly produced, the guitars too quiet and the songs don't breath. By Jarod (Portland, OR.)
you wanted the best very good cd, lots of songs from rock and roll and destroyer. By destroyersims (atlanta, ga)
KISS really rocks and they're ALIVE!! I remember when i was in my sophomore high, that was 1982, some kids bullied me around. When i brought my KISS Alive II cassette tapes to lend it to a classmate, one bully caught sight of those while in my hand and you know what? he never bullied me after that, not a single one of them. By cannedguds (Manila, phils.)
alive and well for brazillian fans everything started when kiss came to our country on the creatures of the night tour on 1983 since that show the bands is number one favorite. By leonardo (rio de janeiro, brazil)
Kiss Alive II is the Gold Standard of Rock I can't think of a band in which each individual is a master of his particular specialty such as Ace Frehley on lead guitar(just listen to Shock Me!), Peter Criss on drums (God of Thunder), and Gene Simmons playing bass while simultaneously singing his songs and Paul Stanley with a true rock voice, that perfectly blend together to from the greatest rock band ever!! By rico.augusto (Fayetteville, NC, USA)
Hidden Gems Kiss was at the peak of their popularity when this came out. I was a young KISS fanatic and eager to hear new material as they had not released anything prior since LOVE GUN. By krisdroog (Orlando, FL, USA)
It still rocks today My 2nd KISS album, the Destroyer being the first, and I have never regret buying this album and as a matter of fact, I gotta have the CD of this. By Popoy (Molo, Iloilo City, Phils.)
2 Best live album ever!!! This was the 2 best live album I have ever heard! Alive was the best I heard but this is the next great live album ever! Buy this fantastic album NOW!!! You WILL love it! GET IT! GET IT! By Brice E. Leach (Canton, GA, USA)
KISS ROCKS THIS IS AWESOME, THEY STILL SOUND YOUNG AND ENERGENIC AND THIS ALBUM IS VERY CONTAGIOUS TO MAKE YOU WANT TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!! By FRED (NEW YORK)
Classic Kiss Not quite as brutal as Alive! but very tough and consistent nonetheless. The band start off with 'Detroit Rock City' & 'King', which are good examples of twin-guitar. By S J (Woking)
in your face KISS awesome album must have Their performance is top rated and live sound quality is excellent! If you love rock n'roll, ALIVE II is the one to have. By silveira (Visalia, CA.)
kiss perfoming at their very best live if you had a choice between one of the three live albums by kiss, this album, ALIVE II would definitely be the best choice. By rapiscrap316 (Winsted, CT)
Alive & Thriving Well KISS maniacs the second installment of the Alive series does not let us down. While it's not quite as good as the first one it is still a great live album. By mcubed269 (Middlebury, IN, USA)
It's Alive Again! Just like KISS' first live album Alive!, Alive II features songs from Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, and Love Gun. Although I've always loved the live stuff from KISS' album, this disc also includes 5 really great songs recorded from the studio. By Crazy Ed (Roswell NM, USA)
Great 2nd live album When I was 7 I got a copy of Alive II, and wore it out, and annoyed my sister by listening to it over and over (as with every other KISS album!). By R.J. (Grand Rapids, MI)
KISS will never die !!!! I heard this album at a very young age. It set me on fire with a passion for Hard Rock. This album shows what kiss is all about , A no BS approach to Rock N' Roll. By Will (Washington, NC , USA)

1 STAR SHORT OF KISS ALIVE I !! THIS KISS ALIVE II ALBUM IS TO PRODUCED AND NOT THE RAW ENERGY OF THE FIRST KISS ALIVE, IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO BUT KISS ALIVE II UNLEASED OR OUTTAKES THEY ARE BOTH BOOTLEG BUT THEY ARE NOT PRODUCED AND MIXED DOWN. By KISSFANDEPOT (HAGERSTOWN, MD, USA) This review is for a different format.

Destroyer CD (1976) Top Seller
Alive II songs Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio at Sterling Sound, New York, New York.
Before DESTROYER, Kiss' studio albums were only moderate sellers. But the band's concerts were selling out regularly, and 1975's ALIVE! album had gone gold, putting Kiss on the pop map. DESTROYER, on which they teamed with Alice Cooper producer Bob Ezrin, was the breakthrough that finally got Kiss' grandiose rock ideas down on record.
DESTROYER is a chancy, ambitious album. It opens with a radio announcer reporting a teen's death in a car crash, followed by a snippet of "Rock And Roll All Nite" (which had appeared on 1975's DRESSED TO KILL); then the band launches into "Detroit Rock City," an homage to the first city to make them stars. "Great Expectations" features ornate orchestration, a heavenly chorus and a guitar tone that exposes the band's glam-rock ambitions. DESTROYER also includes a ready-made rock anthems ("Shout It Out Loud"), a swipe at manipulative groupies ("Do You Love Me," which is punched up with tubular bells) and a foreboding song about "the lord of the wasteland" that became Gene Simmons' signature tune ("God Of Thunder").
And then there is "Beth," an uncharacteristic ballad, sung and co-written by drummer Peter Criss. The lush strings and delicate piano gave Kiss a Top-10 hit and a greater fan base. Soon would come a TV Movie ("Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park") and a comic book.

Dressed to Kill CD (1975) Top Seller
Alive II album for sale Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio at Sterling Sound, NYC.
By 1975, Kiss' songs of sex, fun and rock and and roll had gained the band a loyal following thirsting for more. With their third album, Kiss did not disappoint.
The ribald and rollicking "Room Service" kicks things off with a nudge and a wink; it's about getting more than just fresh towels from the front desk. The rest of DRESSED TO KILL continues down that road, whether it's Gene Simmons singing of "moving down the line/the ladies are all looking fine" or Paul Stanley describing a tryst with an exotic dancer who spotted his picture in a magazine. While his bandmates naughtily sang of the fairer sex, Ace Frehley was inspiring legions of fledgling guitarists.
Two songs on DRESSED TO KILL come closest to showing why Kiss meant so much to teenagers. Frehley strikes a chord with "Getaway," a fantasy about trying to escape despite being flat broke. And the great rock anthem "Rock And Roll All Nite" is pure fulfillment--this was the exact destination their fans were trying to escape to. Re-released in a live version only months later, "Rock And Roll All Nite" became Kiss' first top-40 single, providing the springboard to the enormous success awaiting them in the following two years.

Kiss CD (1974) Top Seller
Alive II CD music Kiss' penchant for make-up was inspired by their downtown New York neighbors the New York Dolls and by Alice Cooper, who was on top of the glam-rock world when Kiss' self-titled debut came out in 1974. Rather than dress in drag as the Dolls did, Kiss fashioned their look on a mix of sci-fi and horror films, and the rock & roll of their youth. They fashioned their music on willful hard-rock arrogance. Several songs on KISS became staples in the group's catalog. "Strutter," about a beautiful woman with a confident swagger, mirrored the attitude of the band, and it contained the first of many incendiary Ace Frehley solos.
The album also contains "Cold Gin," Ace's signature song; "Deuce," with its quintessential sexual posturing and fiery soloing; and "Black Diamond," Paul Stanley's epic tribute to a streetwalker with a hardscrabble life. Kiss' hunger to succeed resulted in some interesting recording choices, such as transforming teen idol Bobby Rydell's "Kissin' Time" into a stomper with singalong choruses typical of early-'70s pop. There's even an instrumental, "Love Theme From Kiss," a showcase for the quartet's musical synchronicity. It was the beginning of a long and influential career.

Rock and Roll Over CD (1976)
Alive II buy CD music Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio (Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
ROCK AND ROLL OVER finds Kiss at its sleekest and most pop-oriented. Fresh from the thundering success of DESTROYER, the band turned out an album jammed with brisk, mostly up-tempo numbers, among which are included some of Kiss's most memorable hits. ROCK AND ROLL OVER was part of a transitional period for Kiss, between the sleazy, more conventional rock of their earlier efforts (HOTTER THAN HELL, DRESSED TO KILL) and the otherworldly, apocalyptic pomp of this album and their other, previous '76 release DESTROYER.
"Hard Luck Woman" became a veritable anthem--sung by Peter Criss, this mid-tempo, largely acoustic number displayed a disarming vulnerability. "Calling Dr. Love" became a signature tune for Gene Simmons--pounding, swooping, and totally lascivious--that's our Gene. Also of note is "I Want You," another instant classic, its start-and-stop dynamics and quintessential Ace Frehley solo (all swagger and scales) making it a defining moment for the group.

Alive! CDs (1975) Top Seller
Alive II songs When Kiss released the double album ALIVE in 1975, the purpose was to capture the spark and energy of their electrifying live shows. Although the spectacular lighting, Gene Simmons' blood-spitting and Ace Frehley's smoke-emitting guitar went unseen, the thunderous power with which Kiss performed every night came across easily.
Recorded during a 1975 tour, ALIVE may not have matched FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE in sales, but it put Kiss on the map in the eyes of the music-buying public. Songs such as "Deuce" and "Cold Gin" became staples for hard-core fans and "Rock and Roll All Nite" became an anthem for everyone else. Chock full of solid rock & roll hooks that pack a consistent punch, ALIVE established Ace Frehley as a certified guitar god. Not unlike the Velvet Underground, who've been credited with inspiring legions of fans to go out and start their own bands, Frehley was equally as influential to another generation. His fretwork on songs such as "Parasite" and "Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll" went just as far in getting thousands of adolescents to go out and pick up guitars.
Includes liner notes by Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Robert V. Conte.

Love Gun CD (1977) Top Seller
Alive II album for sale Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio at Sterling Sound, New York, New York.
Kiss had exploded from cult attraction to worldwide phenomenon by the time of LOVE GUN's release. Coming off 1976's classic ROCK AND ROLL OVER, LOVE GUN proved to be the last Kiss album to include all four original band members (1979's DYNASTY and 1980's UNMASKED included a fill-in drummer for Peter Criss). The album is also considered to be Kiss' last classic '70s release.
Several tracks became signature favorites, such as the album-opening "I Stole Your Love," the explosive title track, and "Shock Me" which is Ace Frehley's very first vocal appearance. As is the case with the other great Kiss albums of the era, LOVE GUN contains very little filler--"Christine Sixteen," "Almost Human," and "Plaster Caster" are all oft-overlooked highlights. An excellent effort produced by Eddie Kramer, LOVE GUN continued the trend of the band's albums going platinum upon release, Kiss concerts consistently selling out, and t-shirts of the unsightly grease-painted mugs of Ace, Gene, Paul, and Peter being worn by fans everywhere.
