Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles Adventure fantasy film based on the Greek mythic legend of Jason's quest for the Golden Fleece. To achieve his goal, Jason must navigate his ship, the Argo, past an array of mythological obstacles. Greek mythology comes to life in this exciting film adaptation of the story of Jason's quest for the Golden Fleece. Ray Harryhausen's special effects in this picture are legendary, especially a sword fight between three live actors and seven skeletons. Loosely based on the Argonautica of Apollonius of Rhodes (c. 250 B.C.). The film is renowned for its spectacular special effects and stunning artistic design. Jason And The Argonauts Reviews: "[T]he movie rocks for 90 minutes....[With] a finale that may be Harryhausen's single most delightful scene: swordplay with skeletons."-- Mike Clark, USA Today "Ray Harryhausen has created so much great stop-motion animation for so many marvelous movies that it's impossible to say which is the best, or the best-loved. This one ranks right up there..."Wall Street Journal

The first and best Jason..... An all time favourtie of mine, I have never tired of seeing this movie, and now have it on DVD for my forever copy. A ton of special effects by Ray Harryhausen, and a great story as well. Based on the legend of the Golden Fleece, there is enough intrigue and action here to appeal to anyone, of any age. The folks here in Toronto like it so much, we named our CFL football team the Argonauts!! Highly recommended for kids of all ages!! A classic! $10.09 Don Siegel's cult masterpiece, interpreted as an allegory of both McCarthyism and Communism, is undoubtedly one of the screen's most disturbing evocations of paranoia. It stars Kevin McCarthy as Dr. Miles Binnell, a physician whose traumatized arrival in the emergency room of a San Francisco hospital leads the staff to believe he's lost his mind. In a series of flashbacks, he unwinds a bizarre account of his last few days. After his return from a trip to rural Santa Mira, his nurse, Sally (Jean Willes), explains that his office has been flooded with patients who have made appointments yet never appeared. Former girlfriend Becky Driscoll (Dana Wynter) tells him that she's unable to rid herself of the belief that the man claiming to be her uncle is an impostor. A hysterical young boy refuses to return home, claiming that his mother is not his mother. Miles's concern over this pattern of incidents, temporarily allayed by some jargon from the town psychiatrist, is newly aroused when he gets ...

On winter break, Nan travels to New England to do some research and, on one of her professor's recommendations, stays in a small hotel run by the spirit of an undead witch. Soon, Nan finds that rest of the hotels boarders are witches as well and that she is about to become their annual Candalmas Eve sacrifice.
