| Modern "Classic" on DVD at last While not exactly at the cutting edge of special effects today, Willow was right up there when it was made in 1988, and subsequently I thought at the time it was better than sliced bread, seeing it numerous times at the cinema before the end of its run. | Fantasy at it's best! Willow movie Excellant story line with plenty of action to satisfy. Comedy at it's best with some drama thrown in, magic and monsters, what better format for a fantasy film! A film worth watching again and again, fun for the whole family! By eagle (New Zealand) |
| entertaining fantasy Ron Howard's "Willow" - co-scripted by George Lucas - is a well crafted piece of cinemagic starring warwick davis, val kilmer and the beautiful joanne whalley (later kilmer's wife). By a reviewer (flushing, ny usa) |

| Willow: Don't Weep For Me! In spite of the underwhelming sales, indifferent critical reviews and "pretty good" boxoffice figures, this movie remains good fun, imaginative, artful and with a mythology all its own. By a reviewer (Santa Clara, CA, USA) |

| Willow 'cult' claims next generation I have loved this movie since I was a child growing up in the 1980s. It is rare, nowadays, to find a film with truly lovable characters, a compelling storyline, romantic leads with strong chemistry, and good old-fashioned adventure all in one place; I feel that "Willow" accomplishes all of this well.
