Twisted Angel album for sale Product Description

Twisted Angel album for sale by Leann Rimes was released Oct 01, 2002 on the Curb label. TWISTED ANGEL shows just how far the newly adult vocalist has come from her teenage-prodigy beginnings. Twisted Angel songs For one thing, she seems determined to leave her country roots far behind. Though she started down the pop route as early as 1997's YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE, TWISTED ANGEL is completely devoid of any country inflection whatsoever, focusing instead (as have a couple of Rimes's previous efforts, to varying degrees) on modern, often even danceable, pop. Rimes may be closer to Britney Spears than to Kitty Wells these days, but she seems to be expressing more of her inner self. Twisted Angel CD music contains a single disc with 13 songs.   ...See Full Description

Not a country music lover
I love Leann Rimes DESPITE the fact that she is considered "country". I have to admit that I went through the songs the first time and didn't absolutely love them, but the 2nd time was a different story.

HER BEST WORK
This album is a coming of age album. Through her lyrics she is making a statement that she is no longer a child protege but she reveals herself as a woman.

LeAnn is Gorgeous
I give LeAnn props for not being afraid of her sexuality... she doesn't look uncomfortable in the booklet pictures. just cuz she's not smiling doesnt mean anything.

Great music for less than $6
Why this CD is less than six dollars and her new album is over twelve dollars is beyond me. This album was released with almost no publicity at all because LeAnn was involved with a legal battle between her and her father at the time.

Life Goes On
I do not have this album, but I love the song Life Goes On. I used to think it was about death, but the lyrics are more about forgetting the past and moving on in life.

This album is LeAnn Rimes
Most of LeAnn's early career has been a whirlwind. Her label Curb Records kept on releasing material that she didn't even want or care to record.

"Twisted Angel" proves Rimes is all grown up
The fact that I even purchased "Twisted Angel" is a revelation, because even though I'm a fan of several country artists, I don't own any of her previous albums.

Twisted Angel buy CD music Initial pressings of GREATEST HITS included a bonus DVD featuring the video "Blue." The CD also included the bonus tracks "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night." The American public (or at least the country-music-listening portion thereof) pretty much watched LeAnn Rimes grow up. She was only 13 when she recorded her smash album BLUE, which introduced the world to a remarkably precocious talent whose voice was on a par with that of Patsy Cline. Ever since then, she's gradually moved away from her traditional country beginnings--first toward a more contemporary country sound, and eventually to a straight-ahead pop approach not far removed from Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson. This GREATEST HITS collection easily negotiates the drastic stylistic changes of Rimes's career, including a few tracks from each of the aforementioned phases. So whether she's crooning "Blue" like a born cowgirl, belting out "You Light Up My Life" like an MOR queen, or getting down with a Diane Warren pop tune on the 2003 track "We Can," Rimes can be seen as a work still very much in progress. Greatest hits package features 19 tracks including the new song 'This Love' as well as the bonus track 'O Holy Night', plus a limited edition DVD featuring 5 videos, 'Blue', 'How Do We Live', 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' & 'We Can'. Curb. 2003. Recorded between 1996 & 2003. Personnel includes: LeAnn Rimes (vocals); B. Twisted Angel songs When Leann Rimes burst onto the country music scene as a full-fledged siren barely out of her teens, it was difficult to predict whether she'd have the staying power to last beyond her high school graduation. A few years later, this album featuring Rimes' versions of classic country tunes would make it evident that the young singer wasn't going anywhere but up. Despite the harsh words of detractors, she's far from the Britney Spears of country. Despite her years, Rimes possesses a truly remarkable voice and a style well beyond her years. Despite the ostensible brashness of a '90s youngster taking on songs associated with Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and other greats, Rimes displays enough chops to make for eminently convincing versions of such chestnuts as "Crazy" and "Lovesick Blues" (she packs a mean yodel, too). Traditionalists will be heartened to know that despite a touch of modern-sounding electric guitar, the arrangements echo the classic Nashville "countrypolitan" sound of decades bygone. Includes liner notes by LeAnn Rimes. Personnel: LeAnn Rimes (background vocals); Jerry Metheny, B. Twisted Angel album for sale When a teenage LeAnn Rimes burst on the scene in the mid-1990s, country fans were astounded by her uncanny vocal resemblance to the late, great Patsy Cline. Perhaps in reaction to this initial pigeon-holing, Rimes moved further and further away from her straight country roots; as the singer's career progressed, she eventually became a country-pop diva on par with Shania Twain and Faith Hill. As the title suggests, THIS WOMAN completes Rimes's transformation into an adult crossover artist. Despite the twangy guitar licks of "I Want to With You," the track has much in common with the driving teen-pop anthems of Lindsay Lohan and Avril Lavigne as it does with Nashville's "new traditionalists." "Something's Gotta Give" delivers an interesting hybrid, pairing careening bluegrass violin with electric sitar straight out of a 1960s film soundtrack. Through it all, Rimes's voice remains a powerful, husky instrument imbued with equal parts stadium glitter and honky-tonk sawdust. In particular, "When This Woman Loves a Man" is a bluesy, Hammond organ-fueled tour de force that sounds like Bonnie Raitt on a drunken night out with Janis Joplin. An assertive statement by a fully formed artist, THIS WOMAN showcases Rimes at the peak of her vocal powers. Live Recording Liner Note Author: LeAnn Rimes. Twisted Angel CD music CRY was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Album. "Cry" won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Listening to the opening track "Free" on Faith Hill's CRY, one might be momentarily thrown; is this the Nashville country-pop siren we've come to know, or has the new Christina Aguilera album been mistakenly packaged in this jewel case? Come to think of it, the album cover might prompt the same question. While the electronic, pumping dance-pop rhythms of "Free" are far from what we think of as the Nashville sound, even in the 21st century, expectations are put back on track with the next track. The title song is closer to the Garth Brooks-meets-Pat Benatar power ballad sound commonly associated with Hill. The rest of the album walks a tightrope between the two styles, darting back and forth on either side. While the likes of "Stronger" and "You're Still Here" are ballads close to Hill's country-pop beginnings, many other tracks here utilize ultra-contemporary dance-pop production techniques in a seeming attempt to push Hill to maturing Britney-lovers. Since Hill has never exactly been what anyone would call "rootsy," this shift in stylistic emphasis is not too tumultuous, and is unlikely to disturb her (huge) hardcore fanbase. First album since 1999's seven-times-platinum, three time Grammy winner Breathe. This enhanced CD includes a 'making of the video' feature, links to the 'Cry' video and exclusive content. Twisted Angel buy CD music With I NEED YOU, her first full-fledged pop album, former country child prodigy LeAnn Rimes makes the leap from Opryland to the bubble-gum strewn halls normally populated by the likes of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Among the guests helping Rimes out with her crossover journey are veteran tunesmiths Dianne Warren, who contributes three songs, and Sir Elton John. Both of Warren's ballads, "But I Do Love You" and "Soon," are the perfect platforms for Rimes and her soaring vocals. The remaining Warren cut, "Can't Fight the Moonlight," is a perfect slice of chugging mid-tempo dance pop reminiscent of teen queen Jessica Simpson. Elsewhere, "Written in the Stars" gives Rimes a chance to duet with Sir Elton on a sweeping number taken from the John and Tim Rice Broadway show "Aida." Although cuts like the Rimes-penned "Together, Forever, Always," and upbeat "Love Must Be Telling Me Something" contain slight traces of pedal steel and mandolin, I NEED YOU falls squarely into the adult contemporary category dominated by fellow country refugee Faith Hill. Like Hill, LeAnn Rimes has mastered the intricacies of pop as ably as those of country music. Reissue of her 2001 album and featuring 'Light The Fire Within' as performed in the opening ceremony of the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games plus 4 bonus tracks 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' (Graham Stack Radio Edit), 'But I Do Love You' (Almighty Radio Edit), 'Soon' (Graham Stack Radio Edit) & 'I Need You' (Graham Stack Radio Edit). 2002. Audio Mixer: John Holbrook. Audio Remixer: Graham Stack. Arrangers: Andrew Pryce Jackman; David Foster. Personnel includes: LeAnn Rimes, Elton John (vocals). Producers include: Wilbur C. Twisted Angel songs The events of September 11 have brought forth an outpouring of charity, patriotic fervor, and good old American entrepreneurial skills, from little flags on sticks to collections of stirring tunes raided from the back catalogs of unsuspecting artists. This title falls into the latter category, being a set of "classic recordings...made while America was first discovering LeAnn Rimes," according to the liner notes. Rimes has an unquestionably great voice, (though here it's heard still in its pubescent incarnation) and most of the content ("God Bless America," "The Lord's Prayer," "Amazing Grace") is unimpeachable. 2001 release for the country-pop superstar. Ten tracks, 'God Bless America', 'The National Anthem', 'The Lord's Prayer', 'The Sands Of Time', 'Why Can't We', 'Put A Little Holiday In Your Heart', 'Middle Man', 'I Believe', 'Broken Wing', 'Amazing Grace', including five never before released tracks. Arranger: Albert Hay Malotte. Personnel includes: LeAnn Rimes (vocals). Producers: Wilbur C. Rimes, Roger Wojahn, Johnny Mulhair, Mike Curb.
