This four-track EP is a tribute record, all of the songs taken from the repertoire of the Chilean band Los Tres. The songs combine aspects of romantic Latin pop, sweet soul harmonies ("Olor a Gas"), disco, and electro-pop ("Amor Violento"). It's pretty eclectic for an EP, but it's not a release that seems destined to endure as a notable venture in the Café Tacuba discography. ~ Richie Unterberger
This four-track EP is a tribute record, all of the songs taken from the repertoire of the Chilean band Los Tres. That's a pretty arcane tribute to make, in the U.S. market at any rate (and this EP was released by MCA in the U.S.), and in sections of the Latin American market as well. Were this the work of an emerging group, one would suspect that it was the product of musicians unsure of their direction, the songs combining aspects of romantic Latin pop, sweet soul harmonies ("Olor a Gas"), disco, and farting electro-pop ("Amor Violento"). It's pretty eclectic for an EP, but it's not a release that seems destined to endure as a notable venture, or even side project, in the Café Tacuba discography. ~ Richie Unterberger
