This movie was better than I had rembered. It is an excellent rendition of Vernes story. Unlike today's movies, it does not rely on violence, sex, or special effects to make it a most enjotable movie. Submitted by donsfsim (Pittsburgh, PA) Was This Review Helpful? Fun Sci-Fi A joy to watch and just like I remebered it. Nice Sci-Fi and the kids even enjoyed it too. Nice to own movies that are not full of blood, guts, vulgarity and etc. A pleasure to watch. Submitted by Sally.Armstrong (San Jose, CA USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

just as I remember it I bought this for my 7 year old to see. so few sci-fi movies out there that are okay for a 7 year old. It was right up his alley. He was upset when the giant lizards got killed, but otherwise, except for the rather drawn out boardroom scenes in the first half, everything was novel and exciting to him without being really frightening. Journey To The Center Of The Earth movie DVD
$9.69 Beginning with a documentary style that immediately hooks the viewer, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, based on the Harry Bates short story "Farewell to the Master," becomes as much a human interest story as it does a sci-fi B-movie classic. The film soberly depicts the arrival of an alien dignitary, Klaatu (Michael Rennie), who has come to earth with his deadly robot, Gort (Lock Martin), to deliver the message that earthlings must stop warring among themselves--or else. After being shot at by ignorant, panicky military guards, Klaatu is brought to a Washington, D.C., hospital, where he begs a sympathetic but frank Major White (Robert Osterloh) to gather all the world's leaders ...

Journey To The Center Of The Earth review
$6.29 The success of BATMAN has lead to an incredible array of different incarnations for the Caped Crusader. Various feature film efforts have emphasized the darker side of Bruce Wayne's alter-ego (Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan's efforts in particular), while the original TV show was a deliriously camp affair. The animated BATMAN BEYOND TV show proves to be an entertaining addition to the canon, and the esteem in which it is held has resulted in a full-length animated escapade for the superhero, titled THE RETURN OF THE JOKER. With Bruce Wayne retired, Terry McGinnis takes up the Batman mantle, and dons the famous costume to go into battle with arch enemy, The Joker. When The Joker goes after the aging Wayne and almost kills him, McGinnis swears to bring down the fiendish villain once and for all. His quest reveals some fascinating facts about the history of the Batman/Joker rivalry, and leads to a valuable and exciting new chapter in the Batman saga.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth movie DVD
$9.69 It is 1815. Brothers Tomas (Greg Sarano) and Gregory (Antonio Cupo) have lived a rather peaceful life as monks in a California Mission. This particular hermitage is the repository for many artifacts that the Church deemed to be cursed, and are therefore ordered by the Pope to be hidden away from human eyes. A beautiful carving of two women arrives at the monastery via the hands of emissary Father Michael (William B. Davis, the chain smoking agent from the X-FILES) He warns that even touching the statue may unleash the most foul and horrible demons known to man. Curiosity gets the better of the brothers and they break into a vault where these cursed artifacts are stored. Seduced by the images, Tomas unwittingly releases Munkar (Mary Mara) and Nakir (Rebecca Harrell), two female demons who look like vampires in serious need of a makeover. Through a time machine that has also been stored in the vault, they travel to 21st-century Seattle. Adopting the guise of prostitutes, they kill and wreak havoc on modern society. Tomas, guilt ridden by his actions, follows close behind and is discovered by street smart detective Rachel Dressler (Gina Ravera), who considers him the prime suspect in a series of ...
