Fantastic DVD Well worth the money, great set list, and a good length dvd. Rob has a few problems with some high notes, but other than that the whole "feel" of Judas Priest is definitely there. By dawnofasgard (BC, Canada)
Killer Video I seen Judas Priest live and this video is just like being at the concert all over again. The sound is mixed very well and the camara work is fantastic. By transpotommy (San Diego, CA)
Judas Priest - 'Rising In The East' (Rhino/Wea) Always thought that frontman Rob Halford would,in time reunite with Priest. It was worth the lengthy wait,of 14 years. Total of 23 metal gems,as only Judas Priest can play them.110 minutes of in-your-face heavy hitting mayhem, the way we remember it. Great picture and sound quality. By mikereedinusa (Shawnee Mission,Kansas;USA)
Classic Priest Excellent DVD a must for Priest fans.Halford's voice isn't what it used to be but whose is at his age.Well worth getting. By ravenfan89 (Nottingham,Maryland,USA)

Top-notch! Witness one of the world's best heavy metal acts, Judas Priest, play their legendary songs and more in this 2 hour concert captured on their 2005 tour. By msorja (Helsinki, Finland)
Fantastic! What a great DVD. It doesn't quite capture what a full blown "Judas" concert is like, but it is the next best thing. By dawnofasgard (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Only they can sound like that!!! the Masters came back again with impressive live concert load of power that they can do. Robbert "The Dictator" Halford show energy on him vocals cords. By riveraedward_maiden (Sto. Dgo. Dominican Republic)

WHAT CAN I SAY.....WHAT A GREAT CONCERT!!!!!! I could give you more than 5 stars. I saw them twice. Here in San Juan and also in West Palm Beach. By pepe71 (Guaynabo, PR)
If It's anything Like the show...... I expect this to be a 5 star concert. If it's not what I saw this past year, I'll let you know. By txorzel (Andy Griffith Andiana USA)
great vidio, even better live!!!! Dvd is great. Seen this tour in june of '05 in central Pennsylvania. The show was incredible and even better sound. By Dave (selinsgrove,Pa)
THE ULTIMATE JUDAS PRIEST DELIVERANCE!!! I've always been a huge fan of Judas Priest, evr since I first heard their huge hit "You've Got Another Thing Comin'", along with "Living After Midnight" and "Breaking The Law"! I remember seeing them for the first time on a classic video and thinking "who the hell are these wierd looking twirps?"... AND IT TRUNS OUT I ALREADY KNEW WHO THEY WERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! Anyways, to get to the point, there old songs were great, but the instruments and equipment they had back in the 70's made them more of a rock band than metal... until the 80's and early 90's purged them into metal history!!! In 1992, Rob Halford left the band! But, in 2004, he returned with full force and the metal gods released this rock'n'roll powerhouse which highlights scenes from their 2005 concert in Japan!!! All of their classic hits return in a new (better) form, and contains 3 or 4 new rock'n'roll masterpieces from their latest album "Angel of Retribution"! The 5 best songs on here (they're all good) are "A Touch Of Evil" (1990; best Priest song ever), "Judas Rising" (2005; starts off their new album and the double-bass shreads the stage from side to side), "Breaking The Law" (1980; 100% world-favorite), "The Hellion/ Electric Eye (1982; a two-part historic rocker with a killer riff and awesome start) and "Diamonds and Rust (2005; awesome ballad; they always play it acoustically live but never recorded acoustically onto an album; the rock version was one of their 1978 cover songs taken from an an older band/artist!!!)! This D.V.D. was shown on VH1 Classic plenty of times (those of you who managed to record it were so lucky)! If you don't want to wait again to see it, buy it! It's defenitely worth the price you'll pay!!! It's rock'n'roll mayhem from start to finish... and that's why it rocks!!! Rob's screeching vocals, Glenn and K.K. 's ripping guitars make your ears ring, Ian's bass causes an earthquake, and Scott's drums "feeds" the earthquake with rumbling and brain-stomping drum solos!!! Well, not really! BUT THAT'S JUST HOW GOOD IT IS!!! Get it dude! ... with vengeance soaring high!!! By defleppardrox (Wallington. Ct, USA)
Just like 15 years ago (almost) Having seen the 2005 tour, this is pretty much a "carbon copy" of what the band delivered. The set list includes plenty of "old school" Priest, but that's what most fans wanted with Halford's return. By Hammster (Grand Rapids, MI, USA)
not to bad!! not to bad!,but rob was struggling at the notes at times, riding on the wind a noted sreamer, but rob was struggling out those notes, don't forget he's in his 50's not a spring chicken anymore, ripper owns a great singer,I would have him singing on stage, but that's my opinon. By CT WILKES (VIC AUSTRALIA)
give it up rob how can they totally ignore the two RIPPER albums? thats what i want to know, and ripper can blow halford right off the stage anyway, this is a waste. By toddlnuzum (bay city mi)
Time To Quit This show has a good set list, the band is playing great, but Rob Halford just can't do it any more. By Ronald (Oregon)
Very Well Put Together The Priest band has been kicking the crap out of my ears for many months and they always are on top of their music. By Filmcy98 (Elmsford, NY, USA)
great I didn't get to see the Priest in their last tour, but was there in the Halford era before the breakup. Rising in the East is a great show it proves they are great as ever and I recommend Priest and metal fans get Rising in the East. By trplt (San Antonio,Tex.USA)
Complaints? I have none about this dvd. Other reviewers complain about lousy 5.1 surround. Well, if that's the case then you need to check your settings on your amp because this sounds as good as it should. By Mark (Ft. Worth, Texas)
It's the performance that counts. Ignore the cries of sell-out. Of course Priest is doing it for the $$$. That's usually the case when a band is this age. By dmacewen (Queens, NY)
Nicely put together DVD This is a great DVD from Judas Priest. I saw them on this tour and this DVD does it justice. The DVD kicks butt from the beginning to the end. By Carl (Annapolis, MD, USA)
HEAVY METAL GODS this dvd is pretty new it came out about a week ago and i immediately bought it. i had the great opportunity to go see Priest back in july and the show was simply amazing. By www.capoccione90 (puyallup, usa)
wheres a dvd from 1979, not this priest has toured so much this year, obvioulsy for the $$$... dare i say they've become posers, i remember priest on the british steel tour, simply the best... release that concert not this over the hill gang in tight leather. By john (sac ca)
They almost made a brilliant DVD Performance is great, as great as I remember them being at Ozzfest 2004. Sound is crystal clear, stereo, DD5.1 and DTS. No complaints. By Keld (Houston TX)
Metal Gods Are Back!!! The Metal Gods are back and screaming with a vengence on this concert in Japan hope to see some original footage for the unleashed in the east in the near future. By Thomas (Plymouth)
Big Disappointment In this day and age it's hard to believe that this could happen but this dvd is so poorly mixed that you can barely hear Glen Tipton's guitar and he does about 80% of the solos. By Ken (Carmel, NY)
sweet this is one sweet MUST HAVE DVD for any true Priest Fan Simply AWESOME!!!! By steve (Hamilton On.Canada)
Very disaapointing As one reviewer stated, HOW? in this day and age does something that sounds SO BAD get released? They promised Dolby 5.1, that's good, or is it? My copy 5.1 I can't even hear Rob Halfords vocals. The music drowns him out. By txorzel (Andy Griffith Andiana USA)
"some things aren't worth paying for, yeah" [updated] I thought I'd leave it for a time to see how I feel then update my review, as some releases take their time to sink in & let you fully enjoy them. By Claire "Lovey" Muncaster (North Beds, ENGLAND)
GIVE IT UP ROB UNBELIEVABLE,ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT WITH IT'S WEAK SONGWRITING AND NOW I SEE THEY HAVE TOTALLY IGNORED THE TWO RIPPER ALBUMS FOR THIS LIVE SET,IWAS JUST LISTENING TO DEMOLITION AND THAT WILL BLOW ANY OF THIS CRAP AWAY. By TODDLNUZUM (BAY CITY MI)
"some things aren't worth paying for, yeah" I adore Judas Priest and was looking forward to getting this when it came out. It's easy to navigate with a clear track list. By clairemuncaster (North Beds, UK)
