This musical instrument simulator allows hard-rocking gamers to put their air-guitar skills to good use. Guitar Hero is played with a guitar-shaped controller that features five fret buttons, a strum sensor, and a working whammy bar. Gamers can jam along with more than 30 classic and contemporary songs, including numbers by the Ramones, Ozzy Osbourne, White Zombie, and Franz Ferdinand. Success involves both synchronization and style. The game's story mode progresses through six different venues, from the makeshift basement studio to the sold-old stadium concert.

A truly addicting game! I had heard about this game from people in the industry and blew it off as geeks needing to get out more. I then read some reviews and felt like it would make a good Christmas present for my 8 yr old. Was I wrong about the geeks! I am a lawyer, and my fiance has a masters degree in social work. We can't get enough of trying to master a tune from the Ramones, Black Sabbath, or Queen. My son regrets ever getting this gift because we fight over it. For everyone who has ever wanted to "live the dream" this is truly a fun game. Submitted by dzemke04 (Tulsa, OK, USA) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

Guitar hero IS my hero! Guitar hero is the greatest game for a true rock lover. I have never seen anything like it. The feel when you pick up that "axe" is amazing. You instantly turn into Jimi Hendrix when you pick up that controller. Submitted by FAbian (Bakersfield,CA,USA) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

Guitar Hero 1 w/Guitar Controller Game Theme Park Roller Coaster starts players with a meager bank balance as they set out to create a bustling, commercially successful theme park. You begin by building a few simple rides and a handful of refreshment stands and as you attract more visitors to your park, you can use the money earned to research new rides as well as make upgrades to existing ones. To keep things running smoothly you'll also need to hire staff. Janitors, mechanics, and security guards are an integral part of any theme park as they keep things clean, working, and orderly. Entertainers help keep the patrons happily engaged, while researchers design the next hit attraction.
With the fundamental elements firmly in place, you can tweak various facets to your liking. Better quality hamburgers will cost you more, but will satisfy the customers, while more salt on the fries will cause your drink sales to increase, but could also cause revellers to fall ill. The speed, capacity, and duration of rides can also be tweaked. Careful micro-management will see your park flourish and reward you with golden tickets that can be redeemed to open up new areas and themes. There are four environments provided to build a theme park: Space Zone, Lost Kingdom, Land of Wonder, and Halloween, each with its own rides and themed sideshows.
Designing a hit roller coaster requires precision planning and considerations to be made regarding G-force, ride length, and height of the ride -- factors which have a bearing on whether customers enjoy the ride or not, and ultimately, whether they will ride it again. It's also possible to explore the park in first-person mode, allowing you to ride certain attractions and even partake in mini-game sideshows. An aide, known simply as "the Advisor" helps you through the initial stages and provides important notifications when something goes awry, or when something good happens in the park.
Ever dreamt of building the world's greatest, most stomach churning, and spew-inducing, screaming-fast rollercoaster? Well, now you can live out the dream and then hop in and ride it too! Theme Park Rollercoaster challenges you to create an amusement park like no other. Based on the popular PC/PS game, Theme Park World, Rollercoaster presents you with the ability to design and build 12 different coasters across eight levels of gameplay, then populate the rest of your park with thrill rides, concessions and sideshows. As the creator and director of your own theme park, it will be up to you to hire the staff necessary to keep your park running and your visitors happy, which includes building the coolest rides, placing restrooms and food concessions in key locations, maintaining the cleanliness and repair of the rides and environments, and keeping an eye on ticket prices. If you successfully manage your park, you will make money hand over fist. If you fail, your visitors will not be happy and head over to the local Six Flags instead.
Theme Park Rollercoaster for the PS2 combines the best of the PS and PC versions, while adding a host of new features and improvement s not found in the other two. Expect high-resolutions graphics (including re-designed, polygon park visitors and staff), all-new music and sound effects and a host of zoomable camera views to get you close to the action.
