This set includes all the episodes including the extended version of midseason cliffhanger Pegasus, plus over 10 hours of mind-blowing features including deleted scenes never aired on TV, podcasts, and producer's video log.
This updated and re-imagined version of the classic 1970s sci-fi television show BATTLESTAR GALACTICA combines elements of STAR TREK, STAR WARS, and THE TERMINATOR. Human beings built the android Cylons to work as servants for them, only to have the robots rebel and disappear into space. A generation later, however, the Cylons returned to destroy their former masters, and succeeded in eliminating the 12 worlds that mankind inhabited. Luckily, one group of people has managed to escape the genocide, led by Commander William Adama (Edward James Olmos), on board the massive space ship called Battlestar Galactica. But the struggle isn't over, as the ruthless Cylons continue to pursue the ship and the last surviving members of the human race. This vision of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA features a darker tone and CGI special effects, and shares with other science fiction sagas a warning about the misuse of advanced technology. This collection includes episodes 11-20 of the second season.

GalacitcaRocks!! Season 2.5was terrific.I loved alot of the stand alone storiessuch as Black Market, whichwent in a totallly different directionthan the Original Galactica. The uglier, darkerside of humanity is shown more in the open. Of course, the continual rants of Baltarwith Number 6... just constantly cracks me up. You still can't tellif Baltar is a Cylon or just a raving idiot. That's great suspense!! Love It!! Just a Soap Opera I really enjoyed the original series from decades ago, and, hearing it was going to be brought back,I really looked forward to an updated Galactica series, similar to the original, but more futuristic and more emphasis on the search for Earth, perhaps even contact with one of the probes that have gone out, maybe one that has entered deep space.
I looked indeed for the same way that the original Star Trek with Kirk and Spock was drastically updated by Star Trek-The Next Generation.
Sorry....I really, really wanted the "New" Galactica....but after sticking with for some episodes, and trying my best to like it,all I got was a soap opera that made no sense to someone who loves Star Trek,Babylon 5,Stargate. I think they destroyed the whole idea of Galactica,as the original idea was excellent. If you're a fan of women's daytime soap operas, you'll probably like this. Strong start fizzles Maybe it was a mistake to watch this entire eleven episodes set at one setting. It definitely proved to be an ordeal. The reason why is that I soon began to realize that this series of episodes seemed only to be a portrayal of the PATHOS of mankind and this set resonated with one form of human weakness after another. Maybe it was intended as the statement by Sharon: "Maybe you don't deserve to exist" was pointed out within the narratives of each episode. At some point I became exhausted by the constant lambasting as I felt my own interest in the storyline starting to slide.
However, I did rewatch the entire set again but not at one sitting this time.
Individually taken most of the episodes came off entertaining though I think the emphasis on sexual tete-a-tetes does little to help the over storyline and may only be a device to excite interest in this series. Some of the episodes were outright pathetic, particularly the episode SCAR. On my second watching I burned out after watching SACRIFICE on the second disc and could not continue with THE CAPTAIN'S HAND. I did resume in a couple of days and found this particular episode to be one of the best in this set. Yet for all of the excellently scripted scenes and well-acted characterizations the third disc seemed to falter in the storyline as the story arc took a turn in the perspective of the Cylons. The closing episode LAY DOWN YOUR BURDENS, PART 2 only continued the downward slide in the storyline to the point where the final scenes came off completely flat. Maybe Sharon was right after all! Great show! This isnt your daddys campy 1970s Battlestar Gallactica. Its rivetting, action packed, smart, mildly violent enough and it keeps getting better each season. If you enjoyed season 1 and 2, buy it and you wont be disappointed. The military references in the show are uncanny. Whoever is doing the shows writing must have been in the Navy or Air Force or is a hell of a researcher. It makes for great science fiction. Submitted by Lance (Riverside, CA.
