Nicholas Stoller's FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL is a romantic disaster comedy produced by the same team that made such hits as THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN and KNOCKED UP, headed by writer, director, and producer Judd Apatow. When he gets suddenly and unceremoniously dumped by his longtime girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (VERONICA MARS lead Kristen Bell), composer Peter Bretter (FREAKS AND GEEKS alum Jason Segel) is devastated. Miserably depressed, he seeks solace in tawdry one-night stands, but he is desperate to win Sarah back. On the advice of his stepbrother, Brian (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Bill Hader), Peter heads off to Hawaii for a much-needed vacation, but he gets even more freaked out when he discovers that Sarah and her new beau, wild and wacky British singing sensation Aldous Snow (comedian Russell Brand), are staying there as well. Mired in sadness, Peter is befriended by hotel employee Rachel Jansen (THAT '70S SHOW's Mila Kunis), who encourages him to get back his life and pursue his own dreams, which include staging a Dracula musical with puppets. But Peter is blinded by his desire for Sarah even as he grows closer to Rachel and starts hanging out with some of the hotel's odder personalities, including Chuck (Paul Rudd), a drug-addled surf instructor, and Matthew (SUPERBAD's Jonah Hill), a drug-dealing restaurant worker obsessed with Snow. Segel, who gets fully naked several times in the film, wrote the screenplay, a sharp blend of comedy and drama, and is solid in his first major starring role. Stoller, making his feature-film directorial debut, gets the most out of his diverse cast and beautiful setting, especially Jack McBrayer and Maria Thayer as a newlywed couple having some bizarre sexual problems, and Billy Baldwin as Sarah's costar in the television show CRIME SCENE: SCENE OF THE CRIME. FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL is an outrageously funny yet touchingly sweet movie.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall Reviews:

3 stars out of 5 -- "There's a fresh element to the latest Judd Apatow-stable comedy in the unique shape of Russell Brand....He excels..."-- Chris Roberts, Uncut

3 stars out of 4 -- "[F]ull of laughs. The cringingly wacky scenarios, offbeat characters and comic dialogue serve up a crowd-pleasing, laugh-filled experience."-- Claudia Puig, USA Today

"[I]t's more soulful than KNOCKED UP and more inclusive than SUPERBAD....FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL delights in its frequent raunchy moments..."-- Carina Chocano, Los Angeles Times

"Its willingness to explore states of feeling and modes of behavior that tamer romantic comedies never go near is decidedly a virtue..."-- A. O. Scott, New York Times

3.5 stars out of 4 -- "Segel is an immensely appealing screen presence....[T]his so-called romantic disaster comedy is a raucous ride through one man's pain."-- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

3 stars out of 5 -- "[I]t's solidly entertaining....The performances are great....Kunis is absolutely radiant..."-- Nick De Semlyen, Empire

"Jawing about pop culture with typical School of Judd razor wit, these men might be giants. The rest of the time, they're merely hilariously mortal." -- Grade: B+-- Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly

4 stars out of 5 -- "[The movie] nails those awkward, face-freezing moments....And it's still refreshing to find a romcom that's allowed to be this real..."-- Nev Pierce, Total Film

"[An] enjoyable romantic comedy....It's the dialogue that delivers the belly laughs."-- Anna Smith, Sight and Sound

"[Apatow] has built up a pretty formidable comic repertory company, and the movie is smart to give such seasoned and proven laugh-getters such substantial shots to do their stuff."-- Glenn Kenny, Premiere

In director Jon Avent's 2008 crime drama RIGHTEOUS KILL, two New York City police detectives--Turk (Robert De Niro) and Rooster (Al Pacino)--attempt to track down a serial killer who targets only vicious criminals. This enigmatic vigilante has earned the duo's respect, yet they are duty-bound to apprehend the criminal-hunting assailant, and in doing so they strain the bonds of their longtime partnership. Aiding Turk and Rooster are a fiery younger pair of detectives (Donnie Wahlberg and John Leguizamo) and investigator Karen Correlli (Carla Gugino), who are determined to see that justice is served. Bill Maher travels to Israel, England, the Netherlands, Vatican City, and across America, speaking to people about faith and religion in the very funny documentary RELIGULOUS. Maher, a stand-up comedian who has hosted the talk shows POLITICALLY INCORRECT on ABC and REAL TIME on HBO and has written such bestsellers as DOES ANYBODY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT? and WHEN YOU RIDE ALONE, YOU RIDE WITH BIN LADEN, reaches out to religious leaders as well as regular folk on the street, discussing the existence of God and the importance of organized religion. Maher makes it clear from the start that he is not a fan of religion and does not believe in God, and he has fun skewering people who do--including Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Mormons, rabbis, priests, politicians, scientists, evangelical ministers, and even a preacher whose church is a converted truck. He also visits such places as the ...

Actor-turned-director Brian Robbins (VARSITY BLUES, THE PERFECT SCORE) is at the helm of comedian Eddie Murphy's alien adventure, MEET DAVE. Murphy stars as the minuscule captain of an alien spaceship that lands on Earth in the shape of a human being that looks just like him. The tiny crew is responsible for making the spaceship look and act like a human being as they search for a powerful orb that went off course and landed in Manhattan. Along the way, the captain--aka Dave--is befriended by Josh (Austyn Lind Myers), a fifth-grade boy who is being raised by his artist mother, Gina (Elizabeth Banks), since the death of his heroic Naval officer father. Although Dave and his crew land on Earth believing that the human race is inferior, they soon realize that there is something to be said for emotions, feelings, and friendship. The fun in this film lies in watching the spaceship Murphy try to assimilate as a human. His exaggerated facial expressions are priceless, ...

Winner of the 2008 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, SANGRE DE MI SANGRE is a dark, intense thriller from director Christopher Zalla. It's the story of two young Mexican men, Pedro (Jorge Adrian Espindola) and Juan (Armando Hernandez), who meet while making an illegal crossing from Mexico to Manhattan, crammed into the back of a truck. Pedro reveals to Juan his plan to find his long lost father at an old address that was given to him by his mother. Juan, a born hustler, absorbs Pedro's story and pretends to befriend him, but at the end of their journey he knocks him out and steals his belongings. When Pedro comes to, he finds himself alone and penniless on a dark corner in Brooklyn. He wanders the streets and meets Magda (Paola Mendoza), a Spanish-speaking prostitute. Unable to speak English, Pedro enlists her help navigating the city and finding his father. But Juan has already located Pedro's father, and assumed Pedro's identity. Pedro's father Diego (Jesus Ochoa) initially dismisses Juan's story, ...
