This DVD includes the animated film plus all-new material and footage not seen in theaters. THE SIMPSONS MOVIE may not qualify for the honor of "Best. Movie. Ever," but even the harshest critics like Comic Book Guy will find little to dislike in this hilarious comedy. Springing from Fox's hit series, the movie expands the adventures of the Springfield residents into a feature-length film. Here Homer's selfish antics (and a hankering for free donuts) are responsible for a horrific ecological disaster that could spell the end for Springfield. So it's up to the paunchy patriarch to save his family and the town from the mess that he has created.
Just as in the Emmy-winning show, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE skillfully combines smart satire with inspired silliness. Dan Castellaneta, Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria, and other regulars of the series provide laughs with their vocal talents, while Albert Brooks is hilarious as the film's villain. Though THE SIMPSONS MOVIE is best seen after a lifetime of watching reruns of the show and repeating its endlessly quotable lines, viewers don't have to be die-hard fans to get the jokes. Screenwriters Matt Groening, James L. Brooks, and Co. are at the top of their game here, channeling the show at its best. The film comes after 18 seasons of the series, but it's certainly more in the spirit (and quality) of the show's best years. Simpsons Movie Movie Review  One of the all time funny movies
This movie, to me, and this is my opinion is honestly one of the funniest movies to ever hit theaters. It made me want to watch it over and over.

the Simpsons Rock
when I was about 11 years old, I sometimes watched the simpsons on tv but I didn't like them that much, but then I payed attention to the shows and what makes me laugh was when
Bart gets stangeled by Homer, then I started to like the shows, I have complete seasons. The best character is Bart Simpson. The movie is awsome, even my Mom likes it and now she enjoys the Simpsons. This is better than Family Guy, they suck. Simpsons are so funny, that you never stop watching them.

This movie sticks to the long running series on fox but throws in a little edge for the big screen release.Bart gets naked and drunk the second I thought was a funny scene and then Homer lets the middle fingers fly which I also found funny then Otto takes a bong rip towards the end but still overall GREAT FOR ANY SIMPSONS FAN MUST BUY if you like the show you will like the movie

Homer gives you the finger and Barts wiener is out..children Beware.
Didn't like Homer falling for a pig. Usual and new gags. Springfield under a dome was unique.
I expected more. Not many special features.
My bet is a 2 disc DVD to come out in a few months.
