Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Director's Comments; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re; Sensor Matic Capcom's STREET FIGHTER vaults back onto the screen with this film from director Andrzej Bartkowiak (ROMEO MUST DIE). Fanboys can start drooling now over SMALLVILLE's Kristin Kreuk in the role of high-kicking heroine Chun Li, while Neal McDonough, Chris Klein, Michael Clarke Duncan, and a number of impressive actors round out the rest of the cast. Based on the long-running STREET FIGHTER video-game franchise, THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI stars Kristin Kreuk (SMALLVILLE) as the title character, a concert pianist who becomes a fiery karate-kicking avenger. Determined to rescue her father (Edmund Chen) from the clutches of Bangkok-based, bad-guy businessman Bison (Neal McDonough), Chun-Li enlists the help of the sage Gen (Robin Shou) and crosses paths with Interpol agents Nash (Chris Klein) and Maya (Moon Bloodgood). Aiding the sinister Bison are the formidable Balrog (Michael Clarke Duncan) and the deadly Vega (Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas), who are determined to eliminate Chun-Li and her allies, leading to numerous explosive martial-arts showdowns.
Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (DOOM, ROMEO MUST DIE), STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI easily outshines the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme adaptation of the video-game series (simply titled STREET FIGHTER) with better casting and, of course, more advanced effects. While Kreuk works well as the earnest Chun-Li, McDonough and Duncan seem to be having the most fun hamming it up as the key villains. Far from Oscar caliber, of course, STREET FIGHTER is enjoyable popcorn fare that has the distinction of having a strong female lead, putting it in line with the LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER movies. Just saw it in the theater NOT bad, I found myself thoroughly enthralled. The only down side was VEGA, he was made out to be tough, and Chun Li crushed him too fast. Other than that go see this film.... Submitted by james_t_kirk_121272 (IRAQ) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 3 found this helpful.
I enjoyed it I liked the movie, I don't know why everyone is complaining about this movie being bad. Kristin Kreuk did a great job playing Chun-Li and I hope she continues to play her in the sequel. However, the fight scene between Chun-Li and Vega was too short and Chris Klein was just.....yeah I'm lost for words when it came to his performance. Other than that go see the movie, especially if your a Kristin Kreuk fan. Submitted by michael (Indianapolis, Indiana) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 0 of 2 found this helpful.

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li movie DVD
$14.39 The early 2000s have seen a string of big-budget remakes of classic horror films. In addition to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES, John Carpenter's benchmark slasher flick HALLOWEEN has been given a new-millennial overhaul. At the helm of the project sits rocker Rob Zombie, whose previous films, HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, brought a fan's touch and an auteur's vision to the director's chair. While Zombie's HALLOWEEN is faithful to Carpenter's vision, there are some obvious changes, the most pronounced of these being the substantial focus on Michael Myers's childhood. The film posits Michael (played by a creepily vacant Daeg Faerch) as a troubled child made all the worse by a horrible home life--wonderfully ...
| | Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans DVD (2009) Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled
Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li video
$15.09 The third film in the UNDERWORLD saga goes back hundreds of years to explain the origins of the feud between the vampire Death Dealers and the werewolf Lycans. Taking over directing duties from Len Wiseman is rookie Patrick Tatoupolos, known for his creature-designing duties in GODZILLA (1998), I AM LEGEND (2007), and the first two films in this series. Less an action-horror film than an old-fashioned "sword-and-sandal" film with monsters, RISE OF THE LYCANS finally gets to the root of why those vampires and werewolves really can't stand each other. Ruled by Viktor (Bill Nighy, VALKYRIE), the aristocratic, vampiric Death Dealers keep the wolflike Lycans as slaves. When a captive Lycan woman births a human boy, Viktor resists the urge to kill it, instead naming him Lucian and keeping him as a pet. Lucian (Michael Sheen, FROST/NIXON) grows up to be a blacksmith with the ability to change between human and wolf and begins a clandestine romance with Viktor’s ...

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li film
$23.39 Finnish director Renny Harlin (CLIFFHANGER, DIE HARD 2) brings first-time screenwriter Daniel Kunka’s story to life in the fast-paced action film 12 ROUNDS. When New Orleans police officer Danny Fisher (WWE wrestler John Cena) apprehends Miles Jackson (Aidan Gillen, THE WIRE), a villainous Irishman being pursued by the FBI, Jackson’s girlfriend is accidentally killed. One year later, Jackson is out of prison and seeking revenge, kidnapping Fisher's girlfriend, Molly (Ashley Scott), and setting up an elaborate game of cat and mouse that traverses the city. Now a detective, Fisher, with the help of the FBI and his fellow officers, has to survive 12 rounds of Jackson’s game--each more mentally and physically challenging than the last--if he wants to see Molly alive again. Meanwhile, the roguish Jackson may be seeking more than just retribution.
Although the premise is completely implausible, 12 ROUNDS is a fun thrill ride. Jackson’s ...

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li review
Oliver Axer presents a collection of German popular songs from the Nazi era, and makes blackly ironic commentary on the lyrics and jovial mood with a stream-of-consciousness montage of German film clips, cartoons, home movies, and newsreel footage from the 1930s and early '40s . The regime's obsession with good health and fitness is explored, as is a fascination with new technology, and vilification ...
