Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish Sophie Kinsella's beloved bestseller gets the silver screen treatment with this comedy that transports the novel's action from London to another world shopping capital: New York City. Isla Fisher (WEDDING CRASHERS) stars as Rebecca Bloomwood, a friendly fashionista whose star as a journalist is ascending--but not as fast as her credit card debt. Based on a pair of effervescent novels by Sophie Kinsella, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC is a light and bubbly confection that should appeal to those who can identify with its heroine's passion. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher, WEDDING CRASHERS) has a label-filled wardrobe that any fashionista would covet, but she also has credit card debt to match. She craves a job at the Vogue-like Alette, but a position at a financial magazine at the same publishing company may be her ticket in. Despite her painfully low credit rating, Becky starts dishing out advice on saving, while debt collector Derek Smeath (character actor Robert Stanton) is hot on her Louboutin heels. Meanwhile, she is competing for the affections of her charming boss, Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy, THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB), with icy Alette employee Alicia Billington (Leslie Bibb, IRON MAN).
A well-heeled hybrid of SEX AND THE CITY and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, SHOPAHOLIC features the talents of Patricia Field, costume designer for those two films. The clothes are almost on an equal footing with the actors here, and each well-chosen piece in Manhattan shop windows or worn by Bloomwood helps contribute to the film's bright mood. A lesser actress might have been lost in all the colors, but Fisher is a formidable comic presence who pulls off Becky's ditzy lines and goofy falls with equal aplomb. Those hoping for a smart discourse on the perils of credit cards and excess spending are certainly watching the wrong film, but SHOPAHOLIC may just be the fashion equivalent of food porn for dieters. Confessions Of A Shopaholic Reviews: 3 stars out of 5 -- "[With] the delightful Fisher, a goofily appealing presence who -- as shown in a hilarious dance routine that sees her flirting coquettishly with an antique fan -- also happens to be a gifted physical comedienne."-- Neil Smith, Total Film "From its talking store-window mannequins to its sneaky debauched heroine, the movie is romantic-comedy fizz, but it's fizz that bubbles like champagne." -- Grade: A--- Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly "CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC is a cleverly constructed catwalk of a romantic comedy that's a lot like the perfect outfit..."-- Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times "It glories in its silliness, and the actors are permitted the sort of goofy acting that distinguished screwball comedy....At the center of this maelstrom is a genuinely funny comedienne named Isla Fisher..."-- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times "Fisher is alive to everything Rebecca might be feeling or wanting at a given moment while also, in the tradition of romantic-comedy greats such as Carole Lombard, Katherine Hepburn and Lucille Ball, being able to stride imperturbably through any disaster and come out on top."-- Todd McCarthy, Variety "Ms. Fisher has a few moments worthy of her abundant comedic gifts...and the cast includes Hugh Dancy, who is calm and engaging as the editor of a financial magazine..."Wall Street Journal Confessions Of A Shopaholic | List Price | $29.99 (You save $6.60) | | Studio | Buena Vista Home Entertainment | | Orig Year | 2009 | | DVD Encoding | Region 1 | | All Time Sales Rank | 38800 | | CD Universe Part number | 7916416 | | Catalog number | 05654600 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jun 23, 2009 | | Rating | PG (MPAA) | | Rating Reason | for some mild language and thematic elements | | Running Time | 105 Minutes | | Additional Info | Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled | | Movie Details | Color; Widescreen; Dubbed; Subtitled |

Confessions Of A Shopaholic film
$23.45 Co-helmed by WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, FINDING NEMO follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clown fish father, as he desperately searches the farthest reaches of the sea for his missing son Nemo. Marlin's journey leads him beyond the Great Barrier Reef into deeper and darker waters, where he meets Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a forgetful yet optimistic blue tang, and a number of not-so-friendly--and often very hungry--aquatic creatures. Meanwhile, little Nemo finds himself in a dentist's fish tank in Syndey, Australia, along with other underwater captives, including Gill (Willem Dafoe), the group's scarred Moorish idol leader. As Nemo works with his new friends on a plan to escape their tank, Marlin and Dory swim closer, but they'll need more than just fins to get into the dentist's office.
This fifth computer-animated outing by Pixar continues the company's remarkable winning streak that began with TOY STORY. Like other Pixar films, FINDING ...

Confessions Of A Shopaholic video
$15.19 For both comic book fans and those who can't tell the Green Lantern from the Green Arrow, IRON MAN is the type of summer blockbuster whose appeal lasts far beyond the season. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Tony Stark, a billionaire playboy and genius who puts as much effort into chasing skirts as he puts into chasing his next big idea. A trip to Afghanistan to sell weapons quickly devolves into chaos, and Stark finds himself at the mercy of a warlord who wants him to build a missile. Instead, Stark creates a powerful suit of armor, turning him into Iron Man and allowing him to escape. When he returns to America, his assistant Pepper Pots (Gwyneth Paltrow), friend Rhodey (Terrence Howard), and right-hand man Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) all marvel at the change in the man they knew.
IRON MAN is the first film to be self-financed by Marvel Studios, and they should be proud ...

Confessions Of A Shopaholic film
$26.29 While it might sound outlandish to speak of THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS in the same sentence as CITIZEN KANE, in its own little neck of the cinematic woods the Judd Apatow/Seth Rogen comedy is perhaps just as groundbreaking. In fact, it's nearly impossible to think of another film that blends so seamlessly pitch-perfect stoner babble with high-octane action sequences.
Dale Denton (Rogen), a process server with a weed fixation, witnesses a murder and turns to his dealer, Saul (James Franco), for support. The murderer is actually Saul's main drug supplier, and because of Saul's access to some extremely rare high-grade pot (called Pineapple Express) the two are quickly tracked down and put on the run. Like all Apatow/Rogen vehicles, the movie deals with the theme of men succumbing to adulthood and all the adjustments they are forced to make in the process. However, unlike KNOCKED UP and THE 40 YEAR OLD ...
