Deep Purple - History, Hits & Highlights 1968-1976 Deep Purple - History, Hits & Highlights 1968-1976 Movie Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) Important Effort Deep Purple always suffered being tagged (pioneers of hard rock ect.)while its music was underestimated. This DVD shows the band at its best moments and it has a lot to offer even to a collector like me. So, purchase it, enjoy the music and remember that DP did a lot of good music that stands and still fresh even after 40 years. Submitted by gady (Tel Aviv, IL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Deep Purple - History, Hits & Highlights 1968-1976 video
$22.75 Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected on this release. With a running time of over five-and-a-half hours, this is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. The footage is taken from London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970, London's Earls Court in May 1975, Knebworth in August 1979, and Madison Square Garden in July 1973. ...

| | Jefferson Airplane Sweeping Up The Spotlight: Live At The Fillmore East 1969 CD (2007)
Deep Purple - History, Hits & Highlights 1968-1976 movie DVD
$7.59 Audio Remasterer: Bob Irwin. Jefferson Airplane were less focused in 1969 than they had been in the Summer of Love two years before. Recorded at the Fillmore East, these performances find the Airplane coming off their most recent album, Volunteers, released a month earlier, with the band a lot looser (drug use aside) and fractured. The factions in the group were presenting themselves during performances, and this set is no exception. Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Cassidy connected and jammed like they would have been just as content without the vocals getting in the way, Grace Slick and Paul Kantner combined their voices and played off each other, while Marty Balin screamed and crammed lyrics together, leaving little ...

$9.79 Acclaimed director Roman Polanski turns a dark eye toward the classic Charles Dickens novel OLIVER TWIST, about a charming orphan boy (Barney Clark) whose life seems to depend solely on the whims of fate. Abandoned early in life, Oliver first seems doomed to life in a workhouse, where he is farmed out to a local undertaker where he regularly is underfed and mistreated. Hoping to improve his lot in life, Oliver runs away to London, where he falls in with a gang of petty criminals led by the fence Fagin (Ben Kingsley) and the young pickpocket the Artful Dodger (Harry Eden). His new situation seems like relief, until he meets Mr. Brownlow (Edward Hardwicke), who sees Oliver's ...
