Lybia album
$8.69 Digitally remastered by Joe Tarantino (1998, Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California).
Pianist Jaki Byard and the wondrous Roland Kirk (here switching between tenor, clarinet, and manzello) were two of the few jazz musicians who could play in literally ...
| | My Bloody Valentine Isn't Anything CD (1988)
Lybia CD music
$6.09 From its very first moments, My Bloody Valentine's ISN'T ANYTHING announces a musical revolution--the rough, insistent snare hits are joined by scalar bass runs, finally uniting and pausing to give way to a barely recognizable guitar swirl and up-close, unproduced vocals as a new form is born. The album's inimitable sonic collages sought to marry the brash experimentation and ...

Lybia music CDs
$9.89 Digitally remastered using 20-bit technology by Ron McMaster.
This is part of Blue Note's Limited Edition Connoisseur series.
Recorded in 1957, Sonny's Crib features a front line of Curtis Fuller, Donald Byrd, and John Coltrane with Sonny Clark on piano, Art Taylor on drums, and Paul Chambers on bass. As Chambers and Taylor up the rhythmic ante and Clark ...

| | Commander Cody Lost In The Ozone CD (1971)
Lybia music CDs
$7.19 This was the debut album by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen. LOST IN THE OZONE was released in 1971, after the band moved to San Francisco from Michigan. The group's mix of Western swing, country, rockabilly, and novelty songs was not typical of the Haight-Ashbury music scene. In retrospect, this album, with its earthy mix of assorted genres culled from the early days of rock & roll, seems to have been ahead of its time. They only other Bay Area band similar to them at the time was the New Riders of the Purple Sage, but that group had more of a country-inflected sound.
On LOST IN THE OZONE, this outfit rollicks in the best possible ways. They sometimes sound like they're ...
