| Sondheim" Delivers!
I had seen this special on PBS and had to have it in my collection. It delivered the most amazing assortment of his most famous works. Of particular note is the performance of some of the music by the artists who originally starred in the productions. Additionally,his longtime conductor, Paul Gemignani and his arranger, Jonathan Tunick were there with David Hyde Pierce to introduce various segments. The "ladies in red" segment, which included such icons as Bernadette Peters, Audra McDonald, Patti Lupone and Elaine Stritch was outstanding. A "must have" if you have ever been, or are a fan of this Broadway legend!!

I find Sondheim very dark but enjoyable. Delivered musically by great stars.
