'Nard album for sale Product Description
'Nard album for sale by Bernard Wright was released Jul 10, 2012 on the Sony Japan label. Like Tom Browne and Lenny White/Twennynine, Bernard Wright was part of Jamaica, Queens' R&B/funk scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s, which gave us such major hits as Twennynine's "Peanut Butter" and Browne's "Funkin' for Jamaica." Browne and White were both talented jazz musicians, but R&B/funk was their main focus at that time. Similarly, keyboardist/pianist Wright occasionally flirts with instrumental jazz on his debut album, 'Nard, but pays a lot more attention to vocal-oriented soul and funk. 'Nard CD music contains a single disc. ...See Full Description

| Nard, Wazzup? 'Nard buy CD music Yea-Uhh Boy-eee! That's what I'm talking about! This brother is the truth. I've searched everywhere for this recording and finally got it. I heard him fresh out of the box back in the day and it still sounds as fresh today as when he first came on the scene. I'm a keyboard player too and all praises to this Jamaica bred funk man. Wanna Play, Wanna Play? Jamaica funk that's what it is!!! Henry Soleh Brewer. By solehbrewer (Los Angeles, CA) This review is for a different format. |

| Wher has music like this gone??? I have this on album and awaited his next effort. I'm surprised to get this on CD. Absolutly DA BOMB!!! Bread Sandwiches is my favorite followed closely by Master Rocker. Every song on the effort is great... Please don't miss out on this one!!! | Hats Off To You,'Nard! 'Nard songs Bernard Wright is truely one of musics neglected talennts, like XTC in the rock world. This teenaged pianist came along at a time when young musicians were still thrilled with the idea of making the public strech. And while "Master Rocker and "Just Chillin' Out" are funk classics "Bread Sanwiches", "Firebolt Hustle" and "Spinnin'" are inventive, clever and innovative grooves that beget there own originality with their catchiness. That this guy never really caught on is not only a crime against the funk world but all of music. He truely belongs on the leagues of the George Duke's,Herbie Hancock's and Les McCann's of music!
