Aside from being a gifted jazz singer (he was forced to do a lot of pop material throughout his career to survive), Mel Torme was also an actor, a solid songwriter, an arranger (he handled the chart arrangements for most of his recordings), a credible drummer, and a more than competent author, but it is as a singer that he will always be remembered. A cool,snappy, session for Mel Torme.
I like the arrangements, It is just Mel having a good old time singing and scatting. A must have for torme fans!

Excellent choice for any music collection
I fell in love with the song Comin' Home Baby when HBO used it for promoting their line-up of shows last spring and summer. Comin' Home Baby buy CD music I was excited to hear that Mel Torme's voice was the smooth crooner singing the song and had to have the CD. It's a wonderful mix of music for any collection! Even though Mel is since gone to heaven�I hope many fall in love with him and his music - again!
