| | George Benson That's Right CD George Benson Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
"Song For My Brother" was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
George Benson switched to the contemporary jazz label GRP with this 1996 recording, but his playing style still delivers plenty of soul and funk. THAT'S RIGHT features a good mixture of up-tempo and slower tunes, as well as plenty of catchy vocals like those on "Holdin' On." Benson's longtime producer Tommy LiPuma teamed up with Ricky Peterson for this well-produced album that was recorded at Prince's Paisley Park Studios, and even features a tribute to the recording studios called "P Park". "Marvin Said" is also an obvious tribute, one that does justice to the great Marvin Gaye.
Benson is a talented guitarist who puts forth enough enthusiasm and fine playing to make THAT'S RIGHT a recording not to be missed by any smooth jazz or R&B fan.

| | Poco Forgotten Trail (1969-74) CDs (1990)
That's Right music CDs
$15.95 This compilation contains 38 songs, including many new remixes from original master tapes, 6 previously unreleased songs, alternate versions of 3 others, and a comprehensive 36 page booklet, with historic liner notes and photos.
This excellent two-disc collection captures Poco's finest moments from the days when they were laying down the template for all the country-rock music that was to follow. It's hard to remember, but when the Eagles first hit the scene, they were thought by many to be a Poco-wannabe band. Listen to this set and you'll hear why. The Forgotten Trail (1969-1974) culls tracks from Poco's first eight albums, as well as unreleased cuts and singles. From the classic ...
| | Neil Young Are You Passionate? CD (2002)
That's Right songs
$8.69 In combining members of his longtime band Crazy Horse and those of more recent accompanists Booker T. & the MG's, Neil Young effectively fuses the gritty guitar-rock of his salad days with churning soul grooves on ARE YOU PASSIONATE? The '60s R&B influence is clear from the start, with opening cut "You're My Girl," which sounds like a cross between vintage Motown and one of Booker T.'s lost ...
| | Ozark Mountain Daredevils Car Over The Lake Album CD (1975)
That's Right album
$13.55 The Ozark Mountain Daredevils' third album for A&M continues their good-natured Southern chooglin' with hints of a newfound mid-70s AM pop vibe. Although it was recorded in Nashville, The Car Over the Lake Album has a distinctly Californian vibe on several tracks, particularly those written and sung by drummer Larry Lee, whose contributions could ride along "Ventura Highway" with any of America's recordings. Despite this warm Beach Boys influence, the album is still a Southern ...
