Contemporary zydeco band John Delafose & the Eunice Playboys split the bill with the more traditional Willis Prudhomme & the Zydeco Express on this 12-cut live session recorded in 1989 at Richard's Club in Lawtell, LA. Delafose's vocals and musical style include healthy infusions of steamy blues and R&B, particularly on such tracks as "I Done Got Over It" and "Gotta Find My Woman." But they didn't ignore the basic zydeco beat, either, showing on "Poor Man's Two-Step" that they could burn in a straighter setting. Zydeco Live!
