this cd is a really good cd but i wish so could have stayed like this because now shes more like rock and roll not pop i really wish she she would have stayed like this thhis alubim is really good i love it i likme all the songs on this cd

| Britney hits hard with ...Baby one more time (1999)
This was the first release by Britney Spears and the first Release I have ever got (I have it on Cassette). I remember being an 8 year old practically begging for this album on the strength of "Baby one more time" alone. The other songs are pretty good too. But are all a complete 180 from the debut single. The rest of the stuff is more Balladry then most Britney fans are a accustomed to and depending on how much you Love or Hate how her VOICE! sounds you're gonna be rather m.o.r with this one. Still Since I like her voice and consider her one of my favorite artists I liked the ballads. "E-mail my heart" is cheesy but sung flawlessly, "Born to make you happy" brings back a lot of memories of being young and frustrated & "Ftbombh" is a sorrow song that gets my vote! The rest of the songs are more danceable and very Fun! teen pop with a Soulful/summer type of edge. The only real mess up's here are the fun but nonsense of "Soda Pop" ("Open the soda pop bop she bop she bop"...wtf does that mean?) and the outright horrible cover of "The beat goes on" All in all though it's satisfying (Or maybe i'm just saying that cause it was the first music release I ever got) To people who likes Britney's voice on Ballads...If not try any of her later releases

| This CD is Awesome!
I love Britney Spears's first album. Then again, i have all of Britney's albums and they're amazing in their own way. But this album is amazing because it's got that 90s feel. I seriously wish and long for this style of music to come back... Oh ok well how about this... if i ever make it big as a singer i will do my best to see to it that this style of pop comes back. This style of pop music should be preserved because that's how great it is. Unlike today's garbage, 90s pop actually meant something, and there was actually breathing and listening room. There was no overproduced or loud synthesizers or anything. And if there were, well... then i guess people need to rethink the definition of what overproduced is because today's music is basically robotic. But this cd is briliant
