||As great as ever|
Zappa is one of the most underrated rock guitarists, and there are many moments on this cd that display what I mean. And, don't miss the "duet" with Sting, who tries, unsuccessfully, to be as irreverent as Zappa. Murder By Numbers is nothing like Jesus Thinks You're A Jerk or Jezebel Boy. The cd is worth the price just for Elvis Has Just Left The Building!

I've been listening to this album for over 10 years. I know it inside and out, but to this day I hear new sounds and parts all the time. Zappa, and the musicians are brilliant. I double dog dare you to not love it!

Frank Zappa's politically charged album about the Republican party is more relevent now that W is president. He predicted the future and it is not good.

This is a great CD! It has all the things Zappa fans love, and has a guest appearance by Sting. I especially liked the jazz number, "Stolen Moments."

||Frank's last rock stand.|
What could be construed as Frank's last rock album, non-compilations aside. The lyrics (for the most part)are topical late-80s political commentary, and the music is simply horn-filled cue-followed satirical jazz-rock brilliance. If the jokes feel a bit dated at times, the notes more than make up for it. Recommended for fans of the most hyper & eclectic FZ titles such as "Zappa In New York", "Sheik Yerbouti" and "You Are What You Is".
