Another in the remarkably consistent Alligator catalog of Kenny Neal that strikingly captures his contemporary Baton Rouge blues sound. He gets a little hot help from the Horny Horns -- alto saxist Maceo Parker and trombonist Fred Wesley -- who once filled a smiliar role behind the Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown. Two songs find Neal going the unplugged route, just as he had performed them in the Broadway musical Mule Bone. ~ Bill Dahl
Recorded at King Snake Studios, Sanford, Florida.

| | Allman Brothers Band Dreams CDs (1989) Box Set
Walking On Fire music CDs
$38.09 DREAMS is a 4-CD box set compiling in chronological order tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, as well as tracks by bands featuring one or more member of the Allman Brothers Band and solo performances by Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Recorded between 1966 & 1988. Includes a 32-page illustrated booklet and liner notes by John Swenson.
Like nearly all box sets, DREAMS has plenty to recommend it-and a few nagging drawbacks. The set's chief shortcoming is its two conflicting goals: providing an overview of the Allmans' history, thus attracting buyers seeking the ultimate hits package, and including enough unreleased tracks and rarities to appeal to the band's most devoted fans. As a result, DREAMS is neither the definitive Allman Brothers collection nor the gift to hardcore fans that, say, THE BOOTLEG SERIES is to Dylan-philes.
DREAMS' strengths are considerable. ...

Walking On Fire songs
$15.95 This compilation contains 38 songs, including many new remixes from original master tapes, 6 previously unreleased songs, alternate versions of 3 others, and a comprehensive 36 page booklet, with historic liner notes and photos.
This excellent two-disc collection captures Poco's finest moments from the days when they were laying down the template for all the country-rock music that was to follow. It's hard to remember, but when the Eagles first hit the scene, they were thought by many to be a Poco-wannabe band. Listen to this set and you'll hear why. The Forgotten Trail (1969-1974) culls tracks from Poco's first eight albums, as well as unreleased cuts and singles. From the classic anthem "Pickin' Up the Pieces," which kicks things off, through "You Better Think Twice," "C'mon," "Kind Woman," "From the Inside," "A Good Feelin' to Know," "Crazy Eyes," and on and on, this is wonderful music, ahead of its time in many ways. If Poco had ...

Walking On Fire songs
$11.49 With their 2nd release launched and their 7th year as a band, Circus Mind has clearly narrowed their focus to funky retro rock grooves. Slimming the band to a 4 piece while saving their horns for a few needed tunes, the band has honed their musicality in their sound and the songwriting to create an explosive project. The new release entitled “Silver Flower” puts a modern take on mid-late 70’s influences such as Traffic, Steely Dan, Little Feat, Mott the Hoople plus N’awlin Vibes such as Dr.John, The Meters and The Neville Brothers.Unlike their first CD which welcomed many special guests such as members of the Neville Brothers, Meters, Soulive and Deep Banana Blackout to name a few CM keeps this project in house for what becomes a much clearer picture of “Who is Circus Mind?” The band met in the late 90's when lead singer Mark Rechler opened headshop/pet store. "It seemed like a brilliant idea at the time" Rechler said. I then hired guitarist Dave Berg to help clean the hampster cages andcreate habitrails out of bong parts, and as it turned out he was an expert in all things heady.Drummer ...
