Complete Hank Williams Jr album for sale by Hank Williams, Jr was released Apr 06, 1999 on the Curb label. This 45-track, three-disc box set is not in fact a complete set of everything Hank Williams Jr. Complete Hank Williams Jr songs recorded for the Curb Records label. Complete Hank Williams Jr album for sale Instead, it's a solid overview of all sides of the man's musical personality. The weepy pure country ballads mix with the party manifesto country-rockers (including Williams's signature tune "All My Rowdy Friends Are Comin' Over Tonight," which he later reworked into the ABC Monday NIGHT FOOTBALL theme), and the defiant outlaw-country tunes and statements of regional pride ("If the South Woulda Won," "A Country Boy Can Survive") sit next to sincere religious tunes ("All for the Love of Sunshine") and covers of songs associated with his late father. Complete Hank Williams Jr CD music is a 3-disc set with 45 songs.   ...See Full Description

EXCELLENT!
This is without a doubt the best/most listened to CD(s) in my entire collection. Hank Williams Jr is a true icon and in my opinion he helped to set the stage for the new-comers standing in today's Nashville spotlight.

Complete Hank Williams Jr songs THE VERY BEST OF includes a 46-page booklet with pictures and track information. "Hole In The World" was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. The Eagles' founders Don Henley and Glenn Frey were forthright in their desire to bring then-emerging country rock to new heights of commercial success. Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, they learned from their observations of the scene around them, and subsequently took their music to the top of the charts. They stayed there throughout the '70s, becoming synonymous with the sound of Southern California rock. The band's first hit was with a song by Jackson Browne, and their first album also included a cover of "Ol' 55" by Tom Waits, but the bulk of the material they're known for was penned by Henley and Frey. This two-disc set wisely expands the original VERY BEST OF collection with important album tracks that have also long been band staples and favorites (such as the aforementioned Waits tune and a number of other songs from their pre-platinum first three releases). As is often the common industry-wide practice, there's also a new song, "Hole in the World." A 2-CD retrospective from the multiplatinum superstars whose 1976 "Greatest Hits" is the #1 album of all time! Special Limited Edition bonus DVD included with a music video, outtakes from the video and backstage pass to Farewell 1. Initial pressings included a bonus DVD. Recorded between 1972 & 2003. The Eagles: Bernie Leadon (vocals, guitar, slide guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, mandolin); Don Felder (vocals, guitar, slide guitar, steel guitar, keyboards); Glen Frey, Joe Walsh (vocals, guitar, slide guitar, keyboards); Randy Meisner (vocals, guitar, guitarron, bass); Don Henley (vocals, drums, percussion); Timothy B. Schmit (vocals, bass). Producers: Glyn Johns, Bill Szymczyk, Eagles, Elliot Scheiner, Rob Jacobs. Compilation producer: The Eagles. Eagles: Don Felder (vocals, guitars, slide guitar, steel guitar, keyboards); Bernie Leadon (vocals, guitars, slide guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, mandolin); Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh (vocals, guitars, slide guitar, keyboards); Randy Meisner (vocals, guitarron, bass guitar); Timothy B. Complete Hank Williams Jr album for sale From the early 1980s onward, there's been no greater champion of traditional country-music values in the mainstream (and none more successful) than George Strait. Like a virtual Ramones of country, he's remained unshakeable in his devotion to a straightforward, no-frills aesthetic of which he's become the unquestioned standard-bearer. This populist stance has accordingly resounded with huge numbers of listeners; if you thought it was impressive when Alabama released a hits collection containing 40 Number One country hits, try Strait's 50 NUMBER ONES on for size. In keeping with Strait's singular approach, the passage of time is difficult to notice here. From the wistful 1982 lost-love tale "Fool Hearted Memory" to the one new song, 2004's "I Hate Everything," Strait's amiable mix of honky-tonk, Western Swing, and bar-room ballads is remarkably consistent, providing the perfect framework for each sentiment just as comfortably as his warm, inviting voice serves the songs. Unlike many artists' best-of collections, there's no chronological peak beyond which the hits stop coming; 50 NUMBER ONES contains just as many latter-day smashes as early chart-toppers, a testament to the remarkable staying power and clarity of vision that make George Strait a star. Liner Note Authors: George Strait; Michael McCall. Photographers: Jarrett Gaza; Mark Tucker .

Complete Hank Williams Jr CD music Principally recorded at Curb Studios and Woodland Studios, Nashville, Tennessee. It's often been said that if Hank Williams himself came back to life today, he couldn't get played on mainstream country radio. With his raw, unabashedly twangy voice and simplistic arrangements, he'd be considered "too country" for a generation raised on Garth and Shania. RISIN' OUTLAW, by Hank Williams' grandson, Shelton Hank Williams (or Hank III, as he bills himself), provides a pretty good test of this theory. Not only is Hank III the spitting image of his late grandaddy, he sings just like him too--and on tracks like "You're the Reason" and "On My Own," the resemblance is downright eerie. But Hank III's also got more than a streak of his dad, Hank Jr. in him--the CD isn't called RISIN' OUTLAW for nothing. He alludes to his propensity for bad behavior in "I Don't Know," and sings openly about snorting cocaine on "Cocaine Blues." Give young Williams credit--having the nerve to bill himself as Hank III invites instant comparisons with his grandfather and his father. On the attitude-filled RISIN' OUTLAW, he manages to do both of them proud, while carving out a niche for himself as a promising alternative country artist. Personnel: Hank Williams III (acoustic guitar); J.T. Corenflos, Brent Rowan (acoustic guitar, electric guitar); Michael Spriggs (acoustic guitar); Dan Dugmore, Kayton Roberts, Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Vernon Derrick (mandolin, fiddle); Rob Hajacos (fiddle); Jason Brown (upright bass); Dale Crover, Greg Morrow (drums); Curtis Young, Neil Thrasher (background vocals). Complete Hank Williams Jr buy CD music This is where Hank Williams Jr. solidified the hard-hitting style he would become known for, perhaps inspired by the pioneering outlaw country records Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings had begun making a couple of years earlier. Charlie Daniels and the Marshall Tucker Band's Toy Caldwell help out here, and you can hear Williams's trademark mix of country and Southern rock taking shape on his cover of the Tucker Band's classic "Can't You See." And while he was no longer singing in his father's shadow, he continues to reference the late country icon on songs like "Living Proof," though the mode of expression is now undeniably the younger Williams's own. HANK WILLIAMS JR. & FRIENDS created the template that would be followed on a subsequent string of Williams's most enduring albums. Complete Hank Williams Jr songs The years covered on Curb's The Bocephus Box (1979-1999) are the 20 years where Hank Jr. was an American icon, the larger-than-life rowdy man of country. His rise began in the early '80s, when he hit upon a terrific blend of honky tonk, Southern rock, blues, and country that appealed to rock and country audiences alike -- rednecks of all persuasions, as less charitable critics would say. Throughout the '80s, he ruled the country charts, as every single one of his new albums went gold. For some observers, he slipped into self-parody halfway through that reign, but as this three-disc box set proves, the best of his music was remarkably consistent. Yes, the individual albums sagged somewhat (especially in the mid-'90s), but he remained true to his vision and had a good choice of material, whether it was newly written songs or rock covers. Early on in The Bocephus Box, it dawns on you that while some have replicated his style -- and while he has spent a long time working the same ground -- nobody really did this rowdy, rockin' country before Hank, and nobody has done it better since. Country purists may deny it, but he was a distinctive stylist, and while he got a little silly even when he was good, he usually delivered, especially in a concentrated setting like this. During those two decades, he released an album almost every year, which were distilled to 65 songs and three discs with almost no duds -- which means he must have been doing something right. For doubters and fans alike, this is the place to really absorb Hank Jr. at the height of his powers. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Includes liner notes by Jimmy Guterman. Compilation producer: Jimmy Guterman. 3 Cds:Boxset Includes 8 Never Released Alternate Versions Personnel includes: Hank Williams, Jr., Willie Nelson (vocals); Reba McEntire, Reverend Ike, Ray Charles, Waylon Jennings, Clint Black, Tom Petty. Complete Hank Williams Jr album for sale 1977's THE NEW SOUTH was produced by Hank Williams Jr's spiritual cousin Waylon Jennings. It's no surprise, then, that it sounds very much like one of Jennings' albums of the period. Much of THE NEW SOUTH has an acoustic, almost folky feel. Witness Williams' uncharacteristically sensitive love song "Once and for All" and the almost autumnal version of Gordon Lightfoot's "Looking at the Rain." Bocephus fans will appreciate Williams' typically rambunctious take on his father's "You're Gonna Change (Or I'm Gonna Leave") as well as a wonderfully loose jam-session version of Bill Monroe's bluegrass barn burner "Uncle Pen." This is Volume 2 of Curb's Bocephus series. Personnel: Hank Williams, Jr. (vocals, guitar).
