Home Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Heavy and Fresh. One of the best from Sevendust. At first I did not like Sevendust. Now they are one of my favorite bands and I still don't know how I did not like them. I love the songs Home, denial, reconnect, waffle, and rumble fish. Buy any one of Sevendust's first four albums. They are really good but after that they start to loose some appeal probably because they loose Clint Lowery on guitar. This one is great though. "One of the worst" 13??!! You must be insane. Bender is a classic Sevendust track. The combination of Lajon and Chino is smooth and fits perfect. Your mind must be somewhere else if you hated that single. Go listen to Creed maybe that's more up your alley. Submitted by Jgraves (anywhere but somewhere, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Better than the first album This album is better than the debut because they have more rythm and melody.
The best songs are # 1, # 2 and # 6.
The worst songs are # 4, # 12 and # 13. Submitted by someone (somewhere in the USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
My favorite Sevendust album I have all four of Sevendust's albums and this one is truly the best. It has all you want from a great metal record. Soul, anger, sadness, hope, emotion and just plain awesome rockingness! Standout songs are Home, Denial, Insecure (intro to Reconnect), Reconnect, Waffle, Licking Cream (featuring Skin of Skunk Anansie), Crumbled, Feel So and Bender (featuring Chino Moreno of the Deftones). Every song is great! Sevendust also have guitar solos in alot of their songs which most bands dont do today. GET THIS NOW! Submitted by Mark (Temple, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$13.79 Mix a bunch of hardcore punk musicians from Atlanta, add an R&B singer and put them under the tutelage of a former member of Twisted Sister and you have Sevendust. Drawing on influences from Ministry, 24-7 Spyz and Pantera to Rage Against The Machine, they create some of the heaviest music heard since metal's mid-80s heyday. Crunching guitars and the passionate, screaming vocals of Lajon attack your senses while the rhythm section chugs along relentlessly.
Starting with the flanged intro to "Black," this band grabs you in their clutches and doesn't let go, through the wah-wah sounds of "Terminator" to the last rhythmic push of "Born To Die." But don't think these guys are just out to inflict sonic whiplash on unsuspecting ears; there's a message to the madness. This multi-racial band seeks to bring peace to the world through metal. With the wide audience they've earned with their debut album, they just might succeed.

$7.59 The music of Korn speaks to those on the fringes of society. The band's trademark hip-core has evolved into a more clearly defined but equally urgent musical vision. Korn's sense of musical urgency and its ambition to make its mark on music is furthered with ISSUES.
"Beg for Me" is a track likely to incite the swirling pits at the band's legendary live shows. Showing that the group hasn't lost its down-to-earth sensibility, Korn invited fans to compete for the cover art of ISSUES, releasing versions featuring the winning piece as well as the efforts of three finalists. The emotional journey undergone ...
| | Godsmack CD (1998)
Home
$11.99 Boston's Godsmack practices the sort of post-industrial metal made popular by White Zombie and perpetuated by Tool and Alice In Chains. But by mixing the raw riffing of their peers with the machine-gun rhythms of Nine Inch Nails, they distinguish themselves from the pack. On their self-titled major label debut, they demonstrate the commitment to furthering the evolution of metal that won them a loyal fan base in New England.
Singer Sully screams his way through a dozen tunes ...
| | Sevendust Animosity CD (2001)
Home
$14.09 Hitting their stride on their third release, Georgia natives Sevendust learned to channel their aggressive emotion in a more streamlined fashion. The result is their strongest material to date. "Praise" is a radio-friendly track that stands above the nu-metal pack. "Trust" and "Crucified," both brutal and melodic, are vehicles for vocalist Lajon Witherspoon's expanded range. Producer Ben Grosse (Fuel, Filter) brings out the maximum amount of impact from the powerful quintet. The somber "Xmas Day" and "Shine" are both standouts, and show that while the band has matured, they are still metal to the bone. You'll want to turn up the bass on the bottom-heavy crunchers "Damaged" and "Beautiful." After working out their kinks and becoming a tighter unit via massive touring, Sevendust seems ready to lead the heavy music brigade.
For the first time in the life of the band, Sevendust (TVT Records) have had time to write and create their songs at home, not in between tour dates as they have in the past. With this new, found ...
| | Sevendust Seasons CD (2003) Bonus DVD
Home
$14.29 Sevendust have toiled away for years, recording and touring as underdog soldiers while lesser hard-rock acts have achieved success with luck as opposed to raw talent. The Atlanta quintet's fourth studio release finds the band grooving harder, with less focus on machine-gun-syncopation and grinding, chugging riffs (a trademark of their earlier works).
SEASONS is arguably the band's crossover album, boasting huge choruses with killer hooks. Songwriting/producing guru Butch Walker (formerly of the Marvelous 3) has lent his magic touch to up-and-comers Injected and Bowling for Soup (the latter resulting in a Grammy nomination for "Girl All the Bad Guys Want"), and now puts his unmistakable stamp on album tracks "Enemy" and "Separate," ...

$15.19 Jazzmatic has changed gears with this smooth, yet aromatic scent of hooks and grooves. This Cd is, a Virtual Drive. Just close your eyes, lay back and reminisce of those times of your life, which really hit the spot. I’ll prescribe this compilation to take you away from the present; to remain there would only suggest you take another dose. I found myself playing it a few times and experiencing something different with each play. I would be more than happy to express which tracks were my favorites, but since our daily lives put us in different moods, so were my favorites. Virtual Drive is addictive, damn, it’s addictive.Dr. Daniel MorrisJazz Freelance Writer The Virtual Drive CD, should be called, what a trip.
