Dimmu Borgir: Shagrath (vocals); Silenoz, Astennu (guitar); Mustis (synthesizer); Nagash (bass); Tjodalv (drums). This Deluxe Edition of SPIRITUAL BLACK DIMENSIONS includes as a bonus, a photo gallery, lyrics, screensaver, wallpaper and winamp skins. This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Two years after their big breakthrough, ENTHRONE DARKNESS TRIUMPHANT, Norwegian symphonic black metallers Dimmu Borgir released the even more innovative SPIRITUAL BLACK DIMENSIONS. With a new keyboardist and lead guitarist in tow, they've enhanced their atmospheric side to the extent where blitzkriegs like "United in Unhallowed Grace" feature crushing guitars glazed with chilly synths and glittering keys. Opener "Reptile" rushes by like the freezing North wind and the monstrous album closer, "Arcane Lifeforce Mysteria," milks the drama with extended hazy passages broken up with powerful, menacing riffs. Dimmu Borgir's arrangements continue to increase in complexity and sophistication on Spiritual Black Dimensions, improving on its predecessors and illustrating the band's musical progression. Borknagar vocalist Simon makes a guest appearance. ~ Steve Huey

Awsome black metal This album is a landmark in black metal as far as im concerned, it has all the elements of being one of the greatest black metal records of all time, this and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, are the two best Dimmu albums to date and they both kick ass! Best black metal album ever! Best than his succeeder, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia. The great desire of showing brutality and malevolence with some imatury turns this album spectacular, revolted and darkened. Submitted by antonio_thor (Portugal) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Nazz: Todd Rundgren (vocals, guitar); Robert "Stewkey" Antoni (vocals, keyboards); Carson Van Osten (bass); Thom Mooney (drums). Producers: Todd Rundgren, Michael Friedman, Bill Traut. Includes liner notes by Merf Sohmers and Patti Hobart, and original release liner notes by Jon Landau. The Nazz: Carson Van Osten, Thom Mooney, Stewkey, Todd Rundgren. Though many of their American peers interpreted the sounds of the British Invasion in different ways, the Nazz's take on jangly guitar pop and nascent heavy psychedelia turned into a blueprint for the American Anglophile power pop guitar bands that followed in the '70s. Which is why the Nazz's eponymous debut album is still a fascinating listen, even if portions of the record haven't dated particularly well. Ironically, one of the songs that hasn't aged well is "Hello It's Me," a ballad that Todd Rundgren later turned into a contemporary standard. It fails here because its dirgey arrangement meanders -- something that can't be said for the rest of Nazz. That's not to say that the bandmembers know exactly where they're going, since it often seems like they don't; they just like to try a lot of different styles, cross-breeding their favorite bands in a blatant act of fanboy worship. At their best, the results of this approach ...

Already an R&B sensation, Jay-EL's talent for singing was discovered at the early age of four when he began singing in church choirs. By the time he was a pre-teen, Jay-EL was in high demand to sing at several banquets and parties in his community. In August 2000, Jay-EL appeared on ShowTime at the Apollo in New York. He exhibited uncommon poise and confidence with his a cappella rendition of Usher's Bedtime to a packed house at the Apollo. He received a standing ovation from the crowd, and hysterical screams from most of the women in the audience. He beat out several talented artists, including a long-standing champion, when he took 1st place three times in a row before the Apollo season ended. Jay-EL's performances aired in December, 2000, again in April, 2001, and in syndication. Millions across the country viewed his performances, and the response from diverse individuals within the entertainment industries and general public has been overwhelming. To this day, Jay-EL constantly meets individuals who were moved by his Apollo performances. In 2003, Jay-EL released his first single entitled, "Be About Yours" from the album with the same title. Jay-EL's first single, "Be About Yours" charted for 16 weeks on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Single Sales Chart. This record also charted on 20 different record pools ...
