Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 2 (1927-1932) album
$10.49 Another year, another Gary Moore blues-rock album nearly interchangeable with the last. That's no problem for fans or even newcomers, because despite the surface similarities between releases, Moore never seems to be going through the motions for the sake of further bulking up his already substantial catalog. His tough guitar lines remain biting yet classy, and his underappreciated voice is strong and convincing on originals and covers that nail all of the blues-rock bases without sounding ...
| | Howlin Wolf His Best CD (1997)
Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 2 (1927-1932) CD music
$12.79 Recorded between 1951 & 1964. Includes liner notes by Mark Humphrey.
Since even Howlin' Wolf's worst recordings are compelling in some regard, it should go without saying that HIS BEST, a collection of his finest Chess sides, is magnificent from beginning ...
| | Gary Keller Blues For An Old New Age CD (1999)
Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 2 (1927-1932) music CDs
$15.49 Don't let the title fool you -- there's not a speck of new age or Chicago blues on this modern, mainstream jazz date, featuring the Keller ensemble and the compositions of Ron Miller, both stalwarts of instruction at the University of Miami/Florida. Keller plays mostly tenor sax and a little soprano, Scott Wendholt (trumpet) and John Fedchock (trombone) crop up on many cuts, Kenny Werner is all over it on piano, and drummer Billy Hart gives it his all in yet another inspired recorded performance. Bassist Drew Gress rounds out the combo. Keller himself is from the post-Coltrane strain of Joe Henderson-style spirits. This is heard clearly on the final two selections, "Sweet Illusions" ...

| | Chemical Imbalance CD (2003)
Complete Recorded Works, Vol. 2 (1927-1932) album
$8.55 NJ/PA rockers Chemical Imbalance take the electric sounds of funk, modern rock, emo, punk, & ska and blend it all into a whirlwind of creative, inventive songs that feature a wealth of new and diverse talent. Chemical Imbalance are: JG Flegler - lead vocals, acoustic guitar; Mike Burns - lead bass, alto sax, backing vocals; Tony Donoso - bass; Greg Marcus - guitar; Chris Gajewski - drums. JG is from Edison, NJ and his main influence is Faith No More. Mike is from Easton, PA and his main influence is The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Tony is from Fords, NJ and his main influence is The Smashing Pumpkins. Greg is also from Fords, NJ and his main influence is Sublime. Chris is from Bayonne, NJ and his main influence is from Tool. Fusing together musicians from different areas with so many different musical backgrounds and influences creates a very interesting result.C.i.'s newest line-up formed late August 2002 after Mike discovered an ad that JG posted on a website that focused on the NJ music scene. JG's audition with Mike and Chris was like a non-stop flow of creativity and talent. Within a few weeks, they came across the guitar/bass team of Greg and Tony, and together, the five were united and agreed to forge ahead with a band that would brush aside the "typical" 5-piece line up containing two guitarists and replace it with the smooth, unique sound of two bassists. Has it been done before? Sure. Has ...
