Although Twisted Sister's final studio album wasn't as commercially successful as its predecessors, it is still Twisted in every way and a great record. Released in 1987, the album took its cue from the cock-rock, pop-metal explosion happening at the time. But despite the obvious influence of this trend, the band retains it's heavy sound.
"Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant)" is a fist-pumping, angry tune given an added boost by new drummer Joey Franco, who's heavy pounding is reminiscent of John Bonham's. "Hot Love" has a Madonna-like feel to it, but with heavy guitars instead of the dance beat one might expect from the pop diva. The title track is a humorous, tongue-in-cheek cut, while "Tonight" and "Me and the Boys" are two anthemic singalongs made for cruising to that all important arena show with your buddies. "You Are All That I Need" is an excellent power ballad written by Dee Snider to his wife Suzette. Along with remastered sound, Spitfire has reissued SUCKERS with four bonus tracks. The rockin' double-time "Feel Appeal" possibly refers to a groupie, while "Statutory Date" says jail time is a small price to pay for an occasional act of imprudent indulgence.
Recorded at Atlantic Studios, New York, New York.

Twisted Sister Love Is For Suckers Songs Love Is For Suckers Music Love Is For Suckers Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Awesome!!! Twisted Sister tried to cash in on the pop-metal explosion with this one. Today, its an underrated piece of 80s metal that every self-respecting headbanger should get. Reb Beach's big touch!!! I've been a long time huge fan of this band, about this album I have to say, that I love it a lot, and that's too bad after this one, they broke up, but it was nice to have Reb Beach on the guitars, you can tell!!!, he's one of the finest guitars there is, check him out on Winger and the latest Whitesnake's tour.Dee's voice is great!!! I'm not gonna take it, I just wanna rock!!!Great Cd!!!! Submitted by elchino5150 (Mount Dora,FL,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Excellent In the history of Twisted Sister the style of music hasn't really changed much...but then it doesn't have to. No change is necessary if all you want from a band is good solid heavy classic rock. This is what S.M.F's seek and as true as steel the Sister deliver it in spades in this no-nonsense package (Well, unless you count some of Dee' great tongue in cheek lyrics). It's typical Sister and typical from the Twisted boys is a guarantee to greatness. Oh yeah, the bonus tracks are awesome too. The only question I found myself with is why were they excluded from the original packaging. Submitted by a reviewer (Troy, OH.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Great Album! The first time i heard this album was in my friends car years and years ago. I knew who TS was but i wasn't a die-hard fan of them. Some years later I found a copy of this on cassette at a used record store, I bought it and started to remember the time I listened to it years ago. I think the album is a very good collection of songs. It has everything from a blood pumping metal anthem to a sappy love song. This is a great addistion to any collection and a must have for any TS fan old or new. Submitted by Dill_monk (Sacramento CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$16.45 Dave's fourth CD, The Zoomy Trail (2009) is the latest snapshot of a full-time musical career that has spanned over two decades. Infused with emotion, unforgettable melodies, and quality songwriting, this is Dave's strongest and most personal collection of songs to date. From intimate solo performances to full band ensembles, it's the way he hears music. A rootsy album with a variety of genres and contemporary production, cohesively pulled together by Dave's distinctive vocal style and guitar playing. His music puts him on club, concert and school stages from New England to Florida, west to Colorado, and to the U. S. Virgin Islands. Dave creates his own style from his love of New Orleans R & B, Pop, Blues, World Music, and Country-grass, to bring a well-rounded set of contemporary roots music to the stage. In acoustic settings, he has shared bills with international acts such as Richie Havens, Toots & the Maytals, David Lindley, Arlo Guthrie, Chris Smither, Pat Donohue, and Tinytown (half of the Subdudes). ...
