Personnel: John Van Tongeren, Bill Meyers, Billy Meyers (keyboards); Steve Croes (Synclavier). Unknown Contributor Roles: Tim Gaines; Michael Sweet; Oz Fox; Robert Sweet. Unquestionably Stryper's strongest and most rockin' album, To Hell with the Devil was a tough act to follow. Instead of following it up with something equally intense, the band stressed its pop side on In God We Trust. Though not quite as big a seller as To Hell with the Devil, the album quickly went gold and fell short of platinum. In God isn't a terrible album by any means, and it does have its moments (most notably, "Come to the Everlife" and "The Writing's on the Wall"), but some of the other material isn't very memorable. Quite often, Stryper sounds like just another MTV-friendly arena rock band. More devoted Stryper aficionados are the main listeners who should acquire this album. ~ Alex Henderson Unquestionably Stryper's strongest and most rockin' album, To Hell with the Devil was a tough act to follow. I play it every day! I bought my first Stryper album about 12 years ago and always enjoyed this band. For some reason, I never bought "In God We Trust". After hearing some MP3s from the internet I knew I had to have this disc and was glad to find such a good price at CDUniverse.
Since receiving it, I have been playing it every day (sometimes twice!). It's currently my favorite album. The melodies, rhythms, hooks and production are all very solid and this album really puts me in a positive mood. There is so much negative input from the rest of the media (news, etc.) and this album is the perfect antidote! Submitted by a reviewer (San Diego, California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
I.G.W.T. I love this CD, I bought it back in 1988 when it came out and still love it! I wasn't into the stage show Stryper put on and all that big hair (it was the 80's), but loved the music and the message which still stands today. Slayer rules???? GOD rules all! By the way Slayer and that guy they worsip Ha Satan will stand before GOD, correction will be on their faces before GOD.
The new Stryper Cd (Reborn)is very good they do a newer version of the song In God We Trust and it rocks. I like the reborn Stryper! Submitted by Brad (Omaha,NE,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
God works in mysterious ways Stryper were every true Metal lovers worst nightmare...clean cut,god fearing christians with silly costumes and too much hair moose, which is why I loved the funny bastards.
Dreadfull songs, vocals that made you cringe and an image & stageshow to hide it all...amazing!!!.

| | New Order Singles CDs (2005) Bonus Track; Remastered
In God We Trust
$19.15 New Order (UK): Peter Hook. Audio Mixers: Mark "Spike" Stent; Rich Costey; Jeremy Wheatley. Audio Remixers: Arthur Baker; Johnny Potoker. Liner Note Author: David Quantick. Photographer: Donald Christie. After almost 20 years, New Order finally released a compilation that arguably exceeds 1987's SUBSTANCE with 2005's two-disc SINGLES. In terms of the material's breadth, SINGLES easily trounces SUBSTANCE, as it ranges from '81 to '05 and serves as an excellent overview of the famed post-punk/dance act's entire career. While the band's transition from Joy Division gets a slightly shorter shrift ("In a Lonely Place" is one of the few tracks from SUBSTANCE that's notably absent), the second disc is a wonderfully selected sampling of New Order's occasionally maligned later period. Arranged chronologically, SINGLES moves from the group's first true steps out of Joy Division's shadow (the surging classics "Everything's Gone Green," "Temptation," and "Blue Monday") to jubilant pop glory (the catchy smash "Bizarre Love Triangle," the dance floor anthem "True Faith") and, eventually, to their status as veteran dance-rock heroes (the eminently assured "Regret" and "Crystal"). Although some fans may be perplexed by versions of songs that differ from SUBSTANCE (particularly "Temptation" and "Confusion"), SINGLES is so comprehensive that it should even win over New Order diehards still clinging tightly to their vinyl copies of the lauded former collection. Now that Waiting for the Sirens' ...

| | Roger Sanchez Choice: A Collection Of Classics CDs (2006) Import
In God We Trust
$11.58 On his 2006 release, COME WITH ME, veteran house DJ Roger Sanchez presents an energetic collection of club-ready tracks. Highlights of this set by the Queens, New York, native include the catchy, soulful first single "Turn on the Music" and the chiming, funky "Take a Chance." For fans of Sanchez, this album will reinforce his sterling reputation, and, for newcomers, it provides an excellent introduction to his dynamic, accessible dance-floor aesthetic. The downside of being an internationally acclaimed DJ is that critics and fans alike expect you to forever push the envelope, and take your sound ever further into the unknown. What if, gawd forbid, you just feel like laying back, taking stock, and making an entertaining but not groundbreaking record? Well, as Roger Sanchez is discovering, your fans will cry foul and the critics will line up to shoot you down. Come with Me, contrary to what you may have heard or read elsewhere, is not an awful album; it's just not the kind of adventurous record listeners have come to expect from the star. But Sanchez is venturing down new paths even while revisiting the past, and creating a slicker, poppier sound, perhaps an attempt to better integrate the pop world he's so busily remixed over the years more dramatically into his own house sound. "Not Enough" is crisp as a potato chip, but its strong melody and soul-laced vocals, so reminiscent of the '80s, is a nostalgic walk down memory lane. "Lost" loses itself down similar old roads, down to its four-on-the-floor rhythm, but with just a tincture of a new ...
