| | 2 Live Crew Goes To The Movies: A Decade Of Hits CD 2 Live Crew Discography of CDs
2 Live Crew has released enough compilations to choke a horse, so what is one more in the scheme of things? This showcases songs that were either on movie soundtracks or recorded to be on movie soundtracks. This explains the hilarious "Crew to Crüe," a duet with Mötley Crüe that was meant to capitalize on both groups' media exposure during 1989/1990. Slated for inclusion on the Juice soundtrack, the tensions between the two groups led to its disappearance. Hearing Vince Neil sing "Hanging with the homeboys/We're gonna have some fun tonight" is priceless, making for a wonderful camp moment to kick off the disc. From there it's a typical Luther Campbell collection, featuring his usual filthy sex rhymes ("We Want Some Pussy," "If You Believe in Having Sex") and a few genuinely good hit singles ("Me So Horny," "Yakety Yak"). Anyone looking for a little variety in their 2 Live Crew compilation can start here for the bad-yet-entertaining duet; otherwise, there are several more hits collections that are more complete and flow better. ~ Bradley Torreano

Goes To The Movies: A Decade Of Hits
$16.19 When a long-defunct band you loved in your youth opts to give fame and fortune one last shot 20 years later, though your heart leaps at the prospect, your brain urges caution. Most listeners have sat through middle-aged reunion albums with their spirits steadily sinking, as turgid laments for the environment give way to bitter attacks on faithless ex-wives and ex-bandmembers, and current bandmembers relentlessly demonstrate their familiarity with the very latest synthesizers. But 21 years after what everyone assumed to be their final album, Mr. Mick, Stackridge reconvened -- several key members light, as usual -- and delivered one of their finest albums. This time the band was under the direction of James Warren, who left in 1973 after The Man in the Bowler Hat to subsequently enjoy considerably greater commercial success as a member of the Korgis (briefly alongside his old Stackridge oppo Andy Davis). And certainly there's a degree of Korgis-style polish about many of the songs included here, while another key influence is openly acknowledged in the anthemic "Something About the Beatles." Warren was always the band's premier melodist, however, and though Something for the Weekend would have certainly benefited from the presence of key members Davis and Mutter Slater, it boasts a consistency that was all too lacking in the band's last two (Warren-free) albums. Any fears that a commitment to polished soft rock might dilute the band's more endearingly eccentric tendencies, though, are dispelled by the splendidly surreal "Wildebeeste" and the irresistible '30s-style ...

$12.65 28 Year old Stutrol is a guitar/vocal songwriter musician performer residing in the Northwest of England. Stu began his interest in music by learning the guitar at a relatively late age of 17 but never really took it to a wider audience until he began playing bars as a solo guitar/vocalist over the UK in 2006. Recently Stu has published a completely self produced 11 track home demo which differs much from his instrumental guitar works in 2006, previously featured on this page. ............ECHO WITHIN 2008 is Stutrol's Raw debut album from the UK guitarist, vocalist, . A oblique blend & fusion of retro guitar fueled pop rock with a heavy touch of StuTrol. Featuring 3 guitar laden instrumentals......... PLEASE VISIT www.stutrol.com FOR BIOGS, PICTURES & MORE SONG STREAMING & DOWNLOADS...... If you feel social drop by and say hi in the GUESTBOOK........................ The material is entirely written, performed, recorded and packaged by Stutrol. What is heard on the demo was solely created with limited studio equipment and relied largely on the recording capabilities of Stu's home PC, practice guitar amp, keyboard/ drum machine, guitar, a few Microphones and much frustration, trial and error. From here Stu is currently re-arranging, recording and producing the tracks due for an Early Spring 2009 release. Visit www.stutrol.com or myspace.com/trolbatross for the latest updates.“Echo Within, a great ear perking debut demo from Stutrol, its is very apparent that this guys likes to play his guitar and almost all the album shows this. I for one am not a great listener of ‘show off guitar slingers’ and what are referred to as ‘Shred Heads’ but Stutrol manages to even it all out with his Vocal which makes the melodic ...
