Amor A La Mexicana songs Product Information
Amor A La Mexicana album for sale by Thalia was released Jul 01, 1997 on the EMI Televisa Music label. AMOR A LA MEXICANA is an Enhanced CD, including both a full audio program and multimedia computer files. Essentially, Amor a la Mexicana is a more fully fledged version of Thalía's previous album, En Extasis, which was her EMI debut and her first noteworthy, internationally successful release. The highlights of that album were the ones written and produced by hitmakers, namely songwriter Kike Santander and producer Emilio Estefan, Jr., the duo chiefly responsible for the breakthrough hit "Piel Morena." ...See Full Description

||Thalia Proves to be Mujer Latina Mejora|
I admit I am "in the tank" for Thalia, ever since I got her Greatest Hits album a few years back. In Amor A La Mexicana, Thalia pushes the envelope even further than in her previous outing, En Extasis. That album had a couple of fine pop tunes and ballads (including the essential theme to her telenovela, Maria Del La Barrio), but stayed mostly in the mainstream. This time around, she wastes no time in getting you to DANCE DANCE DANCE! From the opening upbeat calypso rhythm of Por Amor, to the "bang! bang!" beats of De Donde Soy, one can not sit still! Echa Palante will get you moving also, but my personal favorite on the album is Mujer Latina--from the kickoff of singers belting "Vengo vengo vengo de cano!" you immediately picture yourself speeding down a dirty Mexican highway as the bad guys chase you, to no avail. The ballads do not dissapoint either, as Rosas, Es Tu Amor, as well the the albums endpoint, Dicen Por Ahi have you swaying slowly with that special loved one. Producers Kike Santander and Emilio Estefan, Jr know all the right moves in their collaboration with this major talent that is Thalia. I have had this album for 3 years now and I never tire of hearing it. Forget Ricky Martin, Marc Antony and Jennifer Lopez--this album is real Latin pop at its finest!

Thalia shows yet again she stinks. While I did like Amor a La Mexicana and Mujer Latina everything else stunk
