(8 Customer Reviews)
Yukmouth, a member of the Oakland, CA-based platinum selling group The Luniz, brings the heat on his debut solo album. THUGGED OUT is a twenty-eight-track double CD that combines a rugged style of rhyme delivery with left coast-flavored street beats. Joining Yukmouth on the album are numerous heavy caliber MC's. Check for MC Ren ("Stallion"), The Outlawz ("Do Yo Thug Thang," "Still Ballin'"), Tela ("Menage A Trois") and the whole Rap-A-Lot family on "Rap-A-Lot Mafia."
Yukmouth speaks to his audience about his most personal experiences and encounters. In the song "Sacrifice," Yuk describes the tragic death of his mother, while "Father Like Son" will leave you touched by the love Yuk has for his young son. Make sure you check out "My Buddy," which features Daz, Kurupt and Numskull, and "Baller Mode," which has a great guest spot from E-40. Overall, THUGGED OUT has plenty to keep the listener's attention.

Yukmouth Thugged Out: The Albulation Songs Thugged Out: The Albulation Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Amazing Yukmouth's "Thugged Out: The Albulation" is what real "street rap" is all about. Yukmouth is the best, unknown rap artist in the entire world. True the Luniz are something to be reckoned with, but Yukmouth definatley did good going the solo route. He brings 28 tracks of "Thugged Out" material. Yukmouth also brings along his young Los Angeles group The Regime who consist of Gonzoe (not featured on album), Phats Bossi (formerly Fatts Capone and Phats Bossalini) Madd Maxx Julian (formerly Madd Maxx) Tech N9Ne (who can be found on the 'Gang Related' soundtrack) Poppa L.Q. (former Rap-A-Lot employee), and Lil Keke (out of the south). The Outlawz, Rap-A-Lot Family, Numskull and even a spot from Big Lurch. Yukmouth's "Thugged Out: The Albulation" is the real deal. 'Juss look up in the sky, say "Pac we 'Still Ballin'".

One of Yuk's best!!! Yukmouth a/k/a Smoke-A-Lot is one of the hardest WestCoast rappers in the game. Thugged Out showed a different side of Yuk with gritty hardcore lyrics and the stories of his life growing up in the 69 Village in Oakland. Yuk let's you know that even after the WestCoast lost one of the greatest rappers that ever lived (2PAC), the WestCoast ain't dead that it's still here!! Worst One This is the worst of all the Yukmouth cds, it is a bad representation of what seems to be the hardest working rapper out rite now...I recommend you purchase all his other albums and go with this one if u plan to be a collector Submitted by Tonic (Chi-town) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

best rap doulbe album besides pac When was the last time you have heard such a great rapper? Such a rough voice, such rhyme skills, such a flow? He can spit either battle gutter or tell you a story, no doubt you will be fascinated by his talent. This album was the best in 1999 besides Spice's "immortalized". Yuk is on one level like Pac, Spice or Nas. Go get it! Submitted by cruz (g-states) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Thugged Out: The Albulation music CDs
$13.89 Time and time again it seemed like the Dayton Family had fallen off for good, not for lack of talent or motivation but rather because the group had been dealt a difficult hand from the get-go. The Family's debut album, What's on My Mind?, released in 1995 on the teeny-tiny Po' Broke label, was an unlikely success, for sure. Again, not because of the Dayton Family itself, nor because of the album, because in fact both were quite impressive. Instead, it was because the group was from Flint, MI -- a dilapidated industrial town an hour north of Detroit, not exactly a prime market -- and because it was 1995, a few years before the hardcore rap underground began flourishing with the advent of No Limit, Cash Money, and so on. But What's on My Mind? became a remarkable underground favorite, from Michigan to Atlanta ...
