Boswell's first release for Hearts of Space expands his musical and stylistic palette. Along with the expressive piano and saxophone work that mark his first releases, Count Me In adds touches of folk and jazz elements for an increasingly diverse style. "Do It as a Friend" melds fretless bass and piano with Irish whistle and soprano sax for a Celtic-jazz hybrid, while "Skye Boat Song" explores the Celtic tradition further by adding silky piano and cello to a melody based on an old Scottish folk song. Premiere Celtic artist Joannie Madden plays tin whistle and low whistle on this piece. However, Boswell's piano is the focus on songs like "Aletha" and "Underwater Scene."
