This release by hard rock favorites UFO is actually a two-disc set. The first disc consists of new material while disc two is a live album. The new studio material finds many of the old UFO sounds and trademarks, but is perhaps a bit rawer, both in terms of production and performance. In many ways, the new tracks feel a lot like they might have been leftovers from the previous CD, the brilliant Walk on Water. This one should certainly please longtime fans of the band, but probably is not a good introduction to the group. The lineup this time out is veteran drummer Aynsley Dunbar, guitar hero Michael Schenker, and vocalist Phil Mogg. ~ Gary Hill

| Covenant Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Making a new Covenant One of their BEST that they have ever done!! Outstanding musically rocking songs all throughout. Quality Effort If these guys would have stayed together longer & focused on being UFO vice MSG, Mogg/Way, Sign of 4, they could have rivaled Led Zepplin, Aerosmith & the other Monsters of Rock. The world needs more records like this from these guys on a consistent basis!!! Submitted by El Robbo (Bayonne, New Jersey) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
STILL underrated Its a damn shame that while UFO was enjoying its peak success in Europe and Asia in the mid to late 1970's, America was too busy listening to crap like Journey & Styx. This is one of the best rock bands featuring one of the best guitarist and lead singers EVER!
This 2nd "comeback" album (see "Walk On Water"), verifies their greatness.

Serious Rocking! Of all the releases since "Walk On Water", I find myself coming back to this one the most. Strongest song collection since the early days, excellent playing on all tracks and Phil providing his one of a kind vocals. Fav tracks include "Miss The Lights", "In The Middle Of Madness" and "Serenede". Definitely worth getting! Submitted by mac (Pensacola, Florida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!!! Probably the best UFO album since the "Strangers in the night" days. If you have heard their previous comeback album ("Walk on Water"), then you are NOT ready for this!!. Stronger, rawer, more inspirated, and with a singer probably becoming the best in hard-rock nowadays. Donīt expect classic UFO-70's sound or a money-oriented comeback. This is simply straight-to-the-face HardRock, but with a strong classic-rock background. They are still the BEST!!! (and maybe better than ever). Covenant songs
$11.18 There was a time when British Steel was the hottest, hardest, and most awesome substance on the planet. On Judas Priest "Concert Classics", here it is, in its most appropriate circumstances: live, on stage. Judas Priest re-invented heavy metal. The first band to use the twin-guitar attack, they built on the foundation Black Sabbath had laid and moved metal to a new level. Looking back on the body ...
| | Rammstein Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da CDs (2009) Bonus Tracks; Deluxe Edition; Digipak
Covenant album
$17.65 Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like "B********" or the opening theme song "Rammlied" and nostalgic, cabaret pieces that conjure the spirits of Weil and Brecht at a goth club. Best of the latter is the naked and haunting closer "Roter Sand" but little touches of a sinister yesteryear are everywhere, like the fake vaudeville music in "Haifisch" or the soundtrack strings of "Wiener Blut" which are eventually overcome by a guitar crunching juggernaut. This strange mix of styles is more effective here than it has been for about a decade, and there's no threat of the album ...
| | Kiss Sonic Boom CDs (2009)
Covenant CD music
$16.09 When SONIC BOOM was released, it had been over a decade since the last Kiss studio album, so expectations were understandably high. In addition, the intervening period had seen the band fire two of its founding members for the second time, only to replace them with sidemen wearing Ace Frehley and Peter Criss's iconic makeup. Luckily, the new additions, unlike some of Kiss's "un-masked years" members, have a good feel for classic Kiss. That fact, matched with Paul Stanley's assumption of production duties, makes SONIC BOOM one of the most consistent and thoroughly Kiss-sounding albums since the group's `70s heyday. That said, the New York City unit manages to branch out a bit; alongside very ROCK & ROLL OVER/LOVE GUN-esque tracks such as the Gene Simmons-sung rockers "Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect)" and "Russian Roulette," sit ambitious pieces such as "Stand," which employs a Motown-influenced chorus melody, sophisticated arrangement, and Beach Boys-style harmonies, and "All For the Glory" and "Lightning ...
