| | Expose Greatest Hits CD (1995)
Greatest Hits CD music
$6.25 Exposé racked up an impressive number of dance and adult contemporary hit singles in the late '80s and early '90s, and most of them are collected on this almost perfect Greatest Hits. All their hits from Exposure are here, including their Top Five smashes "Come Go With Me" and "Point of No Return," the soulful Top Ten hit "Let Me Be the One," and the chart-topping ballad "Seasons Change," as well as the club hit "Exposed to Love." Additionally, "Point of No Return" and "Let Me Be the One" were remixed when released as singles -- those single remixes are the versions included here, as well as the single edits of all their other hits. Also included are the single versions of their hits from their sophomore album, What You Don't Know, including the brass-heavy title track, the almost hip-hop "Tell Me Why," and the luscious ballads "When I Looked at Him" and "Your Baby Never Looked Good in Blue." Vocalist Gioia Bruno left after their second album and, with their third, self-titled set, the formula began to weaken, although they did score one major Top Ten hit with the ballad "I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me," included here. The first single from that album, "I Wish the Phone Would Ring," was sadly left off, as were two lesser follow-ups: "In Walked Love" and "As Long as I Can Dream" which, for better or for worse, sound more like bad Wilson Phillips ballads than traditional Exposé hits. Finally, this set includes a couple of new recordings: the ballad "I'll Say Goodbye for the Two of Us" (which bubbled under Billboard's pop chart) and their lovely remake of "End ...

| | Toby Keith Greatest Hits Vol. 1 CD (1998)
Greatest Hits album
$11.19 Toby Keith may not be as much of a household name as his former touring partner Shania Twain, but he's quietly racked up a string of fine country hits since his brilliant 1993 debut single "Should've Been A Cowboy." GREATEST HITS highlights Keith's two main gifts: his resonant, distinctive voice and his knack for writing thoughtful, mature songs about relationships. Hits like "Who's That Man," "We Were In Love" and "Wish I Didn't Know Now" tackle big themes like broken families, infidelity and fading love. The tender "Me Too" deals with a man's inability to express his true feelings.
Of course, Keith isn't all doom and gloom: tracks like "You Ain't Much Fun," "Big Ol' Truck" and "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action" show off his rowdy side. One of Keith's more unusual hits--his version of Sting's ersatz country tune "I'm So Happy I Can't ...

| | Wan Light Carmaline CD (2005) Digipak
Greatest Hits music CDs
$10.59 Wan Light's sophomore set doesn't stray appreciably from the template established by its predecessor, employing a blend of 21st century indie rock, folk, symphonic pop, and gentle electronic textures to create an inviting, sweetly melancholic, and emotionally cohesive whole despite a considerable range in musical approach. Let's Wake Up Somewhere Else may not have contained anything as raw and ragged as "A Good Day for a Good Day Off," or a chorus as big-sounding as "The Eskimo in Me"; Carmaline is slightly lighter on the acoustic guitars and pianos and heavier on the synthy atmospherics -- but these aren't significant departures from the group's overarching aesthetic. Nor is this album, as a whole, any more (or less) rocky or upbeat or sonically fleshed-out, although it may be slightly wider-ranging ...

| | Death By Injection Down At The Courthouse CD (2002)
Greatest Hits album
$11.39 Death By Injection (DBI) originated many years ago as a group of assistant district attorneys coming together to play the annual office Christmas Party. The band was so bad, they were threatened with musical execution, but got off easy, through a plea bargain, with the name DBI. Over the years, a few members have come and gone, but the core has remained playing numerous gigs across Harris County (Houston), Texas. DBI has played their garage band classic rock for almost every charity, law enforcement, lawyers organization, and judicial function in Texas as well as a number of public appearances and private parties. This CD was a way to combine their day jobs down at the Courthouse with the desire to create some original music. The many criminal cases and trials bring together a unique array of interesting people and stories. The songs were derived from the stories of the people who come to the Courthouse each day. Each track of the CD is as different as the many cases the players in the band handle everyday. The first song on the CD, "Don't Say Nothing 'till the ...
