Pickin' on Led Zeppelin is a continuation of the quirky tribute series from the CMH label that applies bluegrass instrumentation to classic rock tunes. The music of Led Zeppelin translates to this form better than most of the previous attempts, but is still recommended for Zeppelin fanatics only. The most interesting tracks are "Kashmir," "Black Dog," and "All My Love." ~ Al Campbell

Pickin' On Zeppelin: A Tribute
$38.09 DREAMS is a 4-CD box set compiling in chronological order tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, as well as tracks by bands featuring one or more member of the Allman Brothers Band and solo performances by Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Recorded between 1966 & 1988. Includes a 32-page illustrated booklet and liner notes by John Swenson.
Like nearly all box sets, DREAMS has plenty to recommend it-and a few nagging drawbacks. The set's chief shortcoming is its two conflicting goals: providing an overview of the Allmans' history, thus attracting ...
| | Poco Forgotten Trail (1969-74) CDs (1990)
Pickin' On Zeppelin: A Tribute
$15.29 This compilation contains 38 songs, including many new remixes from original master tapes, 6 previously unreleased songs, alternate versions of 3 others, and a comprehensive 36 page booklet, with historic liner notes and photos.
This excellent two-disc collection captures Poco's finest moments from the days when they were laying down the template for all the country-rock music that was to follow. It's hard to remember, but when the Eagles first hit the scene, they were thought by many to be a Poco-wannabe band. Listen to this set and you'll hear why. The Forgotten Trail (1969-1974) culls tracks from Poco's first eight albums, as well as unreleased cuts and singles. From the classic anthem "Pickin' Up the Pieces," which kicks ...

Pickin' On Zeppelin: A Tribute
$25.59 EARTH & SKY, the 1980 release from Graham Nash, features 10 tracks and includes guest spots from Joe Walsh, Jackson Brown, Stephen Stills, and David Crosby.
After a seven-year hiatus, Graham Nash returned to his solo career on Earth & Sky. While much of the material may have originated as an on-again/off-again collaboration with David Crosby (guitar/vocals), by the time the LP hit the racks in 1980 there were only traces of Crosby's input scattered throughout. One primary contribution highlighting the pair is the organic and acoustic "Out on the ...
