If Black Seeds of Vengeance is any indication, the lost souls of Ancient Egypt are coming to destroy the living world. That may sound jestful to some, but Nile are dead serious. On their second full-length release, more low-end and further development of Egyptian thematics (exemplified in chanting and prayers) make for a tremendously dark and heavy statement. Creative themes and epic dynamics once again call Nile to attention; however, what really makes this album notable is its sheer negative force. Far from a slight, this means they have reached an enviable apex within the death metal realm. ~ Matthew Kantor

this album is excellent in all senses.Perfect drumming,perfect guitar work, perfect vocals,perfect production...Do you need more? If you're a death metal fan, believe me, take 20 € , go to a metal shop , buy this cd, listen to it soooo many times and you will believe the unbelievable.Hail Nile forever!

Disregard the kid below
He talks smart first but then degenerates into a whiny little punk. He also can't get his facts straight. There is hardly any screaming on this album. What Karl and Dallas are doing are called GROWLS and it is an integral part of death metal. Don't review a death metal album when you don't know the stylistics of it. Killswitch Engage and Unearth will fall to the wayside while Nile will reign forever. They have carved their own niche in death metal and are true innovators of it today. This album is a masterpiece of musical creativity, soul and brutality.

These guys are truely great at what they do. Although disappointed at the abundance of fillers, they fit really well.
Hands down, my favorite Nile album, and it hits my top 5 fav albums of all time.
