| Missing songs When I bought this 2 on one disc set I was elated because I was getting Caravan To Midnight AND my favorite Trower album of all Victims Of The Fury. How disappointed was I when played this disc and noticed something was terribly wrong. Ready For The Taking And The Shout are missing, those are my two favorite songs on the album. Buyer beware ....always look very closely at what you are purchasing. By Bryan (Catasauqua, PA) |
| Excellent album except Excellent underrated albums from Trowers long musical career! Would've gotten 5 stars if he included the 2 of the better songs from Victims Of The Fury, which were " Ready For The Taking", and "The Shout". A message to Robin Trower; if you ever rerelease Victims Of The Fury again, please put these 2 tracks on along with the 2 newer ones you substituted for them, for I would buy the album again!! | Missing one track Caravan was the last in a trilogy of albums from Robin Trower that saw him veer from the hard blues into funky space exploration: slower tunes, loads of phaser/flanger. Victims was a powerful return to loud and crunchy blues, with ex Procol lyricist Terry Reid penning lyrics. Perhaps one of his most underrated albums, marred here by the exclusion of one of the albums strongest tracks, "Ready for the Taking". Dewar and Lordan compliment on both. | One half wakes you up, the other mellows you out This two pack CD (minus one or two songs from the original albums)is sort of a ying/yang thing. Caravan goes super mellow after the "My Love" opening track. The Victims half lays on the rock/blues groove all the way through. I like both halves for certain times, but not to listen all at once.
