Babe Ruth/Stealin' Home album for sale by Babe Ruth was released Aug 29, 2000 on the Beat Goes On label. Babe Ruth was formed in 1971 in Hatfield, England, and adopted their name after the legendary American baseball player. Babe Ruth/Stealin' Home songs The band, lead by Alan Shacklock (guitars, vocals) and consisting of Dave Hewett (bass), Jenny Haan (vocals), and Ed Spevock (drums), was signed to the Harvest label and released their debut album, First Base, in 1972. The album didn't make much impression in England, but went gold in Canada and was a strong seller in the U.S. The band's second album, Amar Caballero, also released on Harvest in 1973, was a repeat of the debut and sold similarly well in North America, but not in England despite aggressive marketing. great twofer
another great twofer here. the best part about this release is that bernie marsden was brought in in 1975 for stealin home and its great to have these on one cd, i just wish they would release there 1976 epic kids stuff on cd bernie is on that entire album but hey these to rock just as good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very underated group from early to mid 70's
Babe Ruth was and still is a fantastic and very underated band, and it's a shame they never got the recognition that they deserved.
