| | Rob Zombie Past, Present & Future CD (2003) With DVD; Digipak
Interview Picture Disc CD music
$10.45 Rob Zombie has aptly carried the torch lit by the shock-rock pioneers of the 1970s. Sporting a vocal style that bellows (think Chuck Billy of Testament) and razor-cuts (think James Hetfield of Metallica), Zombie possesses a creepy yet futuristic swagger seldom seen in hard rock music.
PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE is an education in the legacy of the once-struggling, underground New York City musician (whose interests and projects have since branched into many other forms of entertainment). Unfolding chronologically, ...

| | Slayer Reign In Blood CD (1986)
Interview Picture Disc songs
$9.59 Slayer's major-label debut remains one of the most brutal metal albums ever recorded, uncompromising in its extremes; ironically, it's their mainstream breakthrough release. Infusing its thrash sound with a hardcore-punk influence, the cacophonous quartet shifts from supernatural terror to real-life ...

Interview Picture Disc CD music
$23.15 Death metal legends Cannibal Corpse are known for their grinding riffs and grisly lyrics. This mammoth retrospective takes a look back at the band's storied history--from their garage days in the 1980s to playing before sold-out crowds in the '90s and beyond. ...
| | Loudness Disillusion CD (1984) Japan; Reissue
Interview Picture Disc music CDs
$17.45 Loudness had come a long way by 1984 and, after notching a number of increasingly successful albums in their homeland, their momentum finally carried across the waters. So it was that their fourth effort, Disillusion, which they had originally recorded mostly in Japanese, was recut with English lyrics to make it a tad more appetizing for Western audiences. Whatever the ...
| | Reindeer Section Son Of Evil Reindeer CD (2002)
Interview Picture Disc songs
$12.95 Recorded in Cava Studios, Glasgow, Scotland in February 2002.
Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody is an ambitious fellow. Within ten months, the Reindeer Section recorded a second album, Son of Evil Reindeer, to follow up the critical indie hit Y'All Get Scared Now, Ya Hear! Again, Lightbody gathered some of his Scottish musical mates like Eva's Jenny Reave, Arab Strap's Aidan Moffat, and Richard Colburn and Mick Cooke of Belle & Sebastian, but added Roddy Woomble (Idlewild), Eugene Kelly (Eugenius, the Vaselines), and Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) to the musical fray, for a total of 27 artists. Son of Evil Reindeer is an emotional album, far more somber and inquisitive. Lightbody looks into the mind's spiritual journeys and derives a glowing batch of songs. The inner beauty of Scotland can be heard throughout Son of Evil Reindeer, but the Reindeer Section focus on human conditions. Lightbody's low, glassy vocals sweep over the coolness of "Grand Parade" and "Budapest." The charming vocal combo of Kelly, Blake, and Reave breathes a freshness on "Strike Me Down," but pure pop bliss stretches further on the countrified romp of "You Are My Joy." Moffat is a muzzy, slick vocal crooner on "Whodunnit?," making this track the album's golden moment. The Reindeer Section are clever in their use of intricate instrumentation, making the lo-fi sketch of Son of Evil Reindeer sound more cohesive. It's sun-kissed with love-themed songs, and Lightbody should be applauded. His musical vision combines simple, charming melodies and threads of brass and electronica. It's a magical formula. His songwriting, too, has shaped into a delightful book of discovery. Indie pop fans, brace yourselves for a daydream trip. ~ MacKenzie Wilson

| | Screwtape Lewis Art Rock Show CD (2001)
Interview Picture Disc songs
$6.69 As their very name suggests, Screwtape Lewis is the essence of CONTRADICTION. Poets with punk rock energy, Art Rockers who actually rock. A band that both WORSHIPS at and DEFILES the altar of rock and roll. Whose sound is best described as a COLLISION between 80's NEW WAVE and ANXIOUS MODERN ROCK(think DEVO meets the SEX PISTOLS). Delivered with manic live energy and a sprinkling of humor. What makes this Canadian trio so different? They may just be THE BEST BAND YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF.Frontman Randl Lewis Bailer grew up listening to KISS and Queen as a means of escaping his mundane existence in rural Alberta. The singer/ guitarist went on to sign with an indie label, touring North America and Eastern Europe. It was during this time that Bailer hired drummer Boris T Blackwood for a US tour. Following the label's collapse, the pair formed Screwtape Lewis. With a name inspired by the controversial novel The Screwtape Letters, they enlisted the talents of bassist Wax Davis and soon began playing shows. Within a year Screwtape Lewis released their debut CD Art Rock Show to local critical acclaim....a new and totally unexpected sound...The Gateway...could be the next big thing, why not?!...See Magazine...unique while still writing excellent tunes...CFBR FM...originality and artistry...CJSR ...
