$14.79 BIO: GUITARIST ROBIN LAHIRII’m so glad you are here and checkin out my music !! Read ahead – I think you will find a very different kind of guitarist. Diversity in stylings has always been a musical goal of mine from light classical to Jazz, to Fingerstyle patriotic and then my favorite the smooth Jazz / Light Rock styles on my 4th CD – FOR A KING. That CD by the way features up to 13 guitars on each track, listen and hear all the harmonies and subtle lines. Though I still own and manage 2 very successful companies, my passion in sharing my music; I cant wait to get out there and play more and record more to share ! Rock on and thanks for sharing !! RECENT APPEARANCES:Royal Carribean Cruise Lines, Empress of Seas Jazz LoungeTroys Seafood Restaurant, European Village Mataeus & Piano Bar, Palm Coast, FLNew Creation Praise Concerts, FEB 06 at the God News Centre in New Delhi, IndiaLive Jazz at the ASJOK Hotel, New Delhi IndiaWith RADICAL MEASURES, opening for GLAD in Concert, Dec 2005Monthly at the Intl Miracle Center, Homeless Outreach, Daytona Beach, FLEaster 2006, Lifecoast Church, Palm Coast, Fl I live and breath Guitars (check out my 30 pc collection), and have waited perhaps too long to venture out into putting music on CD’s and playing out, making this a very special time for me to get out there and share my music. In 1978 I acquired my first guitar, a Martin acoustic. It was actually given to my Mother, a classical pianist, as a birthday gift a year earlier and she left it in the closet. I think it was the 8th grade or so. I was taking a guitar class in school and ended up co-teaching the class by the end of the semester. Chords and scales and playing by ear just sort of seem to come naturally, and my very first ear training was from the Flamenco artist SABICAS and the rocker Edward Van Halen. I recall a fun time during my long hair days in the early 80’s when I was the only kid in my high school that could play VanHalens eruption note-for note. I played guitar and bass in the Jazz band in high school, and then applied to the reknown Valley Forge Military Academy Regimental Band. After a tense audition on 4 instruments, I received a Music Scholarship playing Euphonium horn in the Military Marching Band as well as guitar and bass in the Jazz Band. After graduation in 1985 I joined the United States Army Reserve Band for several years while in college, earning an Officers Commission later on from the University of Pennsylvania. I have an incredible collection of vintage axes, some signed by my favorite ...
