heard one and you've heard the lot Out side of the film, where the score is iterspersed with music of other artists, the full soundtrack of the original score is nearly all the same. Whistful sax and dramatic drums Submitted by a reviewer (Winchester Great Britain) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo
Goldsmith effectively recreates the dark side of '50s Los An There are those who think that Jerry Goldsmith ripped off his prior masterpiece score for "Chinatown" in composing this period film score. I'm not one of them. I think he does an admirable job in recreating the steamy, sleazy, scandalous atmosphire that sorrounds this riveting film about corruption in the Los Angeles Police Force in the early 1950s. A multiple Oscar nominee in 1997 (including Goldsmith for his score), the film was ultimately railroaded by "Titanic" at the Academy Awards. But with other films like "Pulp Fiction" and "Fargo", time will tell. Submitted by filmfactsman (Beverly Hills, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo
