Just 4 You music CDs
$17.69 Subtitled "23 Prime Cuts of Classic 60s Soul and R&B Duets," this couldn't be hailed as a definitive best-of for that sub-genre. Not when there's no Sam & Dave, no Peaches & Herb, and no Righteous Brothers, not to mention part-time duet teams like Otis Redding & Carla Thomas, or Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. Still, it's a respectable if idiosyncratically selected batch of soul duets, most but not all of the male-female variety. As for the big hits, there are barely any on board, other than Don Gardner & Dee Dee Ford's gospel-charged "I Need Your Loving" and Betty Everett & Jerry Butler's "Let It Be Me." As for reasonably well-known duet teams, there are only a few others: Inez & Charlie Foxx, Chuck Jackson & Maxine Brown, Peggy Scott & Jo Jo Benson, and Lee Dorsey & Betty Harris (well, one-half of the latter was well ...
| | Loose Ends Look How Long CD (1990)
Just 4 You songs
$7.55 One of the better urban soul groups you can find, Loose Ends, fronted by Carl McIntosh, concocts a rhythmic formula without the repetitious melodies. Through the utilization of technology, McIntosh maximizes the use of sampling, synthesizers, and drum programming on Look How Long. "Don't Be a Fool" was the debut release, peaking at number ten on the Billboard R&B charts. The two singles to follow, "Cheap Talk" and "Love's Got Me" peaked at numbers 28 and 76, respectively. The former of the two songs addresses the issue of negative rumors in a relationship, while the latter, with a more upbeat pulse, is ...

| | Martha & the Vandellas Dance Party/Watchout! CD
Just 4 You CD music
$17.69 DANCE PARTY/WATCHOUT! combines the groups third and fourth albums, DANCE PARTY and WATCHOUT! respectively, on a single CD, released in 2002. This collection of recordings by the soulful girl group Martha & The Vandellas includes hits like "Nowhere To Run" and "I'll Follow Him."
British reissue, released in 2002 by Motown Record Company, contains three additional tracks.
The two most solid original albums that Martha & the Vandellas ever issued make an awesome single CD -- the hits, of which there are five here, three of them ("Dancing in the Street," "Nowhere to Run," "Jimmy Mack") monster best-sellers, speak for themselves, but it's everything else that makes this British imported CD worth tracking down. Motown has been upgrading the sound on its hits singles for years, ...

Just 4 You CD music
$8.69 Just Us Records Proudly Presents 'Ozzie' A New York born recording artist and producer who combines English and Punjabi in a unique and evolutionary style. American's have recently become more interested in the sound of South Asian music (ex. popularity of Punjabi lyrics, use of minor cord progression, incorporation of tablas, dhols, sitars, and other Indian instrumentation in today's hit records). There is a strong market for South Asian music, but the key is in the artist's presentation. Ozzie sings a unique style of Punjabi that complements Hip-Hop, R&B, and Pop as never before. Having grown up in New York, and traveled around the world to Bombay, his musical style has adopted both western chacteristics, and authentic Punjabi sound. The end result is the creation of an extremely novel style, with an artist that occupies an exclusive niche. The unique ability to fuse English with an evolutionary Punjabi sound. Ozzie has demonstrated that he can capture an American audience. His single 'Treasure the Moment' has been played on over 40 American radio stations, he has performed at various NYC clubs such as the Roxy, 151, Broadway's Beacon Theater, and was given the honor to sing the United States national anthem for the Mets at Shea ...
