"True To Your Heart" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Song Written For A Motion Picutre Or For Television.
This harmony-driven Ohio foursome's sophomore release finds brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons collaborating with some of the day's hottest producers. The Trackmasters-produced "Do You Wanna Dance" uses a sample from Kool & The Gang's classic "Get Down On It." Keith Thomas and Anders Bagge also worked on tracks that range from hip-hop-flavored R&B to pop and Eurodance styles.
Love songs are numerous on this release, including a remake of "I Do (Cherish You)," originally recorded by country singer Mark Wills. Producers Sean Hosein & Dane Denviller co-wrote the acoustic guitar-accented "Still." The maturity of the groups shines through on their second album on tracks like "Because Of You," "Heat It Up" and 'True To Your Heart," which features an appearance from Stevie Wonder.

Yeah, it's pretty good! I wouldn't say I liked EVERY song, but at the same time, I don't regret having it in my CD collection. It's good music for taking it easy. I liked their slower stuff best. I didn't mind it. Submitted by a reviewer (Lively, Ont, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

UnBelievable!!! As A Retired Musician, I was totally blown away by this album. I have never heard of this group or any of their tracks, and then one day I had the good fortune to hear this album. For one who thought GOOD music was a lost art form, 98 Degree have renewed my faith in today’s Music scene. I recommend you treat yourself to a amazing experience and get this album, you won't be disappointed. Submitted by JD (Western Republic of Ireland) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
98° is Pretty Damn Good If Really, 98° is a great idea for a teen-pop band: take an attractive boy band in the vein of Take That or N'Sync and have them sing Boyz II Men crossed with the Backstreet Boys to the Offspring and Pennywise. the Offspring followed this formula on their eponymous debut and were more or less successful. However, they've mastered the sound on their second record, 98° and Rising. Like any teen-pop with chart aspirations, 98° and Rising is far from a perfect album, as it alternates sure-fire hits with filler cut from the same mold, but that should be expected. What's nice is that songs like "The Hardest Thing" and "True to Your Heart" are well-crafted radio singles, with memorable hooks and excellent production. That same production — which makes the ballads smoove and the dance-pop infectious — carries weaker moments of the record, but at the end of the day, it's the singles that make 98° and Rising entertaining. And for many fans, that will be quite enough indeed. Submitted by javierjones (Medellin, Colombia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A boy band that can actually sing 98 degrees are more than just a bunch of pretty boys who learnt singing yesterday. Their songs are excellent and they have a harmony that is very rare. I would say that they are almost as good as Boyz II Men. Almost all their songs are great. Submitted by madman (Bangalore, India) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$12.69 Music Appreciation: A, C.., D, silent WWhen asked about making the new record Still Yes, 19-year-old Michigan native Jon Rajewski looks a bit like a kid who was just caught stealing. He's in shock, a little shy and praying someone will believe his version of what just happened to him.One minute he's a book-dragging college freshman at MSU, the next he's collaborating with a super-group of sorts on songs he wrote while he should have been paying attention in music appreciation class."It's still unbelievable to me that these folks liked my music enough to play on the record," says Jon.He may have reason to be humble too: Still relatively unknown to the musical community at large, he's joined on his debut by Bela Fleck & The Flecktones otherworldly horn blower Jeff Coffin, Vertical Horizon bassist Sean Hurley, Train keyboardist Brandon Bush, Eastmountain-south vocalist Kat Bode, and players whove recently backed Ben Folds, ...
