1954-65 is a six-disc box set containing all of George Hamilton IV's most popular recordings, including all of his records for ABC/Paramount and the bulk of his RCA recordings. Hamilton's pop hits often obscured his talents as a country singer, but this set demonstrates that he was a talented and versatile singer. Nevertheless, it's the kind of set that is designed for hardcore fans -- there may be several gems buried in this weighty box set, but its sheer bulk makes 1954-65 intimidating to anyone else. ~ Thom Owens
