| great civil war film!!
If you buy one movie about the civil war get this one. Great music and a great adaption of the book.

| Powerful film
Gettysburg is a movie that is underrated as a Civil War movie. I always hear people say that either Cold Mountain or Glory is the best Civil War movie and not this one.

| Great movie/good historic record
I enjoyed this movie. I was impressed with the cast and the reenactments. Not sure I would have picked Martin Sheen for General Lee, but overall, the movie is good.

Rates up there with "Gods and Generals". A great history lesson on the Battle of Gettysburg. A super great civil war film.

| The best civil war movie I've seen
If you are a history buff or just enjoy a good real story of Americana, this is a must have. Not only is it a well made movie, but it is as historically accurate as you will get from Hollywood.
