I teach 6th grade at a middle school. The movie helps to show the way of life in Mesopotamia and show how Abraham's moves from being a man raised in a time of multiple-gods to one God. The acting was good.

| Excellent Biblical Portrayal
One of the best Bible movies I have ever seen. It is true to the Scriptures and Abraham is portrayed brilliantly by Richard Harris. Incredible scenery and music, it will move your soul. I had read the story in Genesis many times, but seeing it portrayed on film provided a new way of seeing the characters and understanding the events. The last scene on Mt. Moriah with Isaac moved me to tears. I have shown this movie in secular and religious settings, and the response from the viewers is always one of awe.

| Expected a good movie, but found a superb story!
Harris and Hershey's performance is so real and beautiful that it transported our whole family back to biblical times. We got to love Abraham and Sarah even more than before. The account is very accurate. Movie was done in an excellent manner. My family and I will buy more movies like this anytime.

| Get the DVD!
I saw "Abraham" when it was first shown on the TNT network in '94. When I bought the VHS copy one year ago I was so disapointed that it had been cut to 150 minutes. However, this week I found the DVD at a local store and was so pleased to see this copy had been restored to it's original 187 minutes. I bought it immediately. This production is very accurate in keeping to scripture and I find it very inspirational. The beginning of God's nation Israel. I highly recommend this movie and suggest the DVD.
